    • Disclosed is a composition for forming a dairy free coffee beverage. The composition comprises a mixture of powdered ingredients, including soluble coffee, a non-protein creamer and a plant-based powder selected from one or more of oat powder, coconut powder, soy powder and almond powder. The ratio by weight of the non-protein creamer powder to plant-based powder is at least 1:3. Preferably the plant-based powder is an oat powder, most preferably an oat flour. The ratio by weight of the non-protein creamer powder to plant-based powder is preferably at least 3:1, more preferably from 3:1 to 8:1 and most preferably from 3:1 to 4:1. Furthermore, it is preferable that the ingredients include sugar. Optionally the composition may comprise a foam-boosting ingredient, comprising at least 1 ml/g of trapped gas. This may be present in amount of 1 to 20 wt/% of the composition.
