摘要： The present invention relates to a method in a cellular mobile communication system for transmitting Pages, and such a system. The cells of the system are subdivided into two classes. To which class a cell is assigned is decided by its capacity to transmit Pages or by the amount of Page responses received within the cells. When paging a mobile station, the Page is first transmitted in the cells of the first class. If no response is received to that Page, the Page is transmitted also in the cells of the second class. An advantage is that there will be fewer Pages congested due to lack of capacity for transmission. Transmitted Pages in the cells of the second class are primarily transmitted to mobile stations that are really present within those cells. Thereby the probability increases that all mobile stations will be reached by Pages intended for them.

摘要： Telecommunication system in which local terminals may be called from one or more central stations by way of transmission paths selected by selection device on the probability of success. Selection takes place with the help of selection tables on the basis of exchanged signalling messages obtained from, or by way of, a switching system (3); other selection tables are also possible, e.g., on the basis of geographic or cartographic information. To the transmission paths there are assigned scores on the basis of the points in time of successful and unsuccessful calls, and of numbers of successful calls. During a session, a call is first made by way of the transmission path having the highest score (S(ok), S(nok) or S(rc)) in one of the selection tables (OK, NOK and RC, respectively). In the event of failure, the call is repeated by way of a preferred transmission path (PP), once again in sequence of the scores from one of the selection tables. If these calls are unsuccessful as well, the other transmission paths are tested, once again in sequence of the scores (S(ok), S(nok) or S(rc)) from one of the selection tables (OK, NOK and RC, respectively). Transmission paths for which it is a short while ago (e.g., less than 5 minutes) that an unsuccessful call took place, are not used. All this is useful, inter alia, for Inmarsat, GSM, UMTS and UPT.

摘要： A method of paging for a mobile station operating in a radio telecommunications network having a serving mobile switching center (MSC), a home location register (HLR), and a plurality of border MSCs. The method comprises the steps of paging for the mobile station in the serving MSC, and sending an intersystem paging message from the serving MSC to each of the plurality of border MSCs. The intersystem paging message includes an instruction to page the mobile station, an indication of a number of page attempts to perform, and an indication of a page response time for each page attempt. A total page response time is calculated in the serving MSC by taking into account the entry time of a Routing Request Invoke message, the signaling delay in the border system, the average time for designation of a voice channel, and an additional average time for transferring the call to voice mail in the event of a no page response condition. If a page response is received in one of the border MSCs prior to expiration of the maximum time period for completion of the page attempts, the method stops internal paging in the serving MSC and may send a release message from the serving MSC to the non-responding border MSCs from which no response was received, to release paging resources in the non-responding border MSCs. If no page response is received within the maximum time period allowed, the HLR may initiate transfer of the call to voice mail.

摘要： In a mobile radio telephone network a communication control system includes a searching arrangement (25, 33) for searching one (15') of radio communication devices of the network. The communicating arrangement (22, 25, 32) sends a call signal to a specific one of the radio communication devices by means of a selecting arrangement (21, 25, 31). The specific communication device is selected with reference to a memory (27) for memorizing, in correspondence to the radio telephone sets (11'), location information indicative of the radio communication devices assigned to the zones in which the radio telephone sets are present at a time. The searching arrangement preferably updates the memory to make the information indicate the searched communication device instead of the specific communication device.
