    • An actuator device connected with a blind arranged inside a hermetically sealed space of a double-glazing unit. The double-glazing unit has a pair of parallely extending glazed plates between which the hermetically sealed space is arranged, and a sealant layer extends perpendicularly between the glazed plates. The actuator device includes a first magnet which is arranged inside the hermetically sealed space, and a second magnet which is arranged externally of the hermetically sealed space. The first magnet is directly connected to a first part of the actuator device arranged inside the hermetically sealed space for actuating the blind dependent upon a sliding motion of the first magnet, and the second magnet is connected to a second part of the actuator device accessible outside of said hermetically sealed space to an operator for sliding the second magnet outside said hermetically sealed space. The first magnet is arranged to one side of the sealant layer, and the second magnet is arranged to another side of the sealant layer in a corresponding position with respect to the first magnet such that the sliding of the second magnet provided by the second part of the actuator device provides the sliding motion of the first magnet and the actuation of the blind by the first part of said actuator device.

    • An operating device for a Venetian blind includes a positioning tube coupled to the shaft of the Venetian blind and formed with a top opening and an axially extending slot. An annular stop member is disposed in the receiving space adjacent to the top wall and has an inner surface that confines a tapered central hole which tapers upwardly. A retaining member is axially movable in the positioning tube, and has a tapered upper end portion which complements the tapered central hole and which is extendible into the tapered central hole. A biasing spring biases the retaining member upwardly so that pull ropes which extend through the positioning tube can be clamped between the tapered upper end portion and the stop member. An elongated sleeve is disposed around the positioning tube and is formed with a radial hole that is aligned with the pin hole. An insert pin extends through the radial hole, the slot and the pin hole. The elongated sleeve is movable downwardly relative to the positioning tube so as to move the tapered upper end portion downwardly away from the stop member for releasing the pull ropes.

    • An improved venetian blind having a head rail which carries an elongated rotator member. A first rotator band is connected to the rotator member and to the edges of a plurality of slats carried below the head rail. A second rotator band is connected to the rotator member such that pulling on one portion of the second rotator band causes the rotator member to rotate in one direction, which in turn causes the rotator band to tilt the slats in a first direction, and pulling on a second portion of the second rotator band causes a reverse rotation of the rotator member, to thereby cause the slats to be tilted in an opposite direction. The rotator band passes through a handle, and the handle includes a tilt member connected to the rotator band for allowing selectively tilting the slats through movement of the tilt member.

    • A powered angling rod readily connected in combination with a new or existing window Venetian blind unit, replacing the original manual-only angling rod, wherein, the window blind includes a head rail and parallel slats pivotally mounted. The powered angling rod comprises an elongated small size tubular main housing preferably closely visually resembling current manual-only control rods. Preferably a vertically adjustable hook structure is provided for readily connecting the powered angling rod to rotatable drive shafts protruding from the head rail, which vary widely in length between manufacturers of Venetian/mini-blinds. The adjustable hook structure also serves as a rotating power shaft for tilt angling the blind slats and is coupled to a motor shaft arrangement for rotational power. The motor is partially confined within the upper terminal end of the main housing. An anti-rotation structure readily connects between the main housing and a stationary item such as the head rail to render the motor and main housing stationary while leaving the motor shaft arrangement free to rotate the hook structure to alter the position of the blind slats. Within the main housing is micro-powered, power saving electronic control circuitry for automatic actuation of the motor via light or temperature detection sensors, and manual control via push switch, or infrared remote control. A battery power source is also within the main housing. The powered angling rod readily attaches to virtually any Venetian/mini-blind suitable to use a manual-only rod.
