摘要： The invention relates to a surface support specially for floors, walls or the like, comprising substantially rectangular plate-shaped panels (1) with an underside facing the surface (2) which is to be covered, an upper surface (3) facing the room area (3) as well as peripheral face edges (5, 8). The respective face edges of two adjacent panels are provided with tongues (6) while the two other adjacent face edges are provided with grooves (9). When installed, the panels (1) fit closely onto each other due to the tongue/groove joint. In order to improve assembly of said panels so that they can be installed more quickly and economically and to guarantee extremely precise and reliable fit, the panels (1) have locking grooves (20, 22) arranged on their undersides (2) at a distance from their face edges, running parallel to said face edges. At least one fastening clip (17) is inserted into the locking grooves for each second adjacent panel (1). Said fastening clip extends substantially perpendicular to each close-fitting panel (1) face edge and holds the panels tightly together.

The fixing system to be included is a strip installed at a factory. The fixing system 6 for inclusion into the long side includes an independent element 70 that reinforces a fixing groove 14 and an independent portion that supports a fixing element 8 of the fixing system 6. Each of the independent element 70 and the independent portion is formed from a wood fiber material, which is different from the material for forming the main body of the flooring board.
