    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine with a bill deposit and withdrawal device capable of accurately detecting the size of a bill.
      SOLUTION: The automatic teller machine is provided with a storage space for overlappingly storing bills having different shapes; an accumulation space for taking in the bill fed from outside; a feed-in discharge means for feeding the bill into the accumulation space, or discharging the stored bill; and an alignment surface 208 fixed at least when the bill is fed into the accumulation space. When the bills with the size not uniformed in a take-in advancing direction are taken in through the feed-in discharge means, the bills are stopped by making one end thereof collide with the alignment surface. Alternatively, the alignment surface may be provided with a bill discharge port of the feed-in discharge means, and the bills aligned on the alignment surface 208 may be discharged from an end of an alignment side through the bill discharge port.

    • PURPOSE:To smooth change-over of sheet transport direction in a copying machine to make multichromatic recording by forming a sheet passage, with the profile in the form of an arc of circle, in the transport path switching member and by changing the direction of sheet passage by means of rotation of this switching member. CONSTITUTION:No.1 switching member 26 is interposed between No.1 and No.2 main transport paths 21, 22 leading from a sheets tray to No.1 recorder part 2 while No.2 switching member 27 between No.3 and No.4 main transport paths 23, 24 leading from this recorder part 2 to No.2 recorder part 3. No.1 by-pass 30 is furnished between these two switching members 26, 27 while No.2 by-pass 31 between the switching member 27 and No.5 main transport path 25 leading from No.2 recorder part 3 to the exhaust tray. The switching members 26, 27 consist each of a round rod rotated and controlled by a step motor etc. and are equipped with sheet passages 28, 29 with the profile in the form of an arc of circle crossing approx. perpendicularly to the axes. The rotational angles of these switching members 26, 27 are controlled to change over the direction of sheet transport, and thus both single color and two color recordings are now available.
