    • A method and system for segmentation of the corpus callosum in MR brain images is disclosed. The method utilizes an active shape model (ASM) with confidence weighting to iteratively adjust an initial corpus callosum contour to define a boundary of the corpus callosum in an MR image. An ASM is used to determine a displacement value in a perpendicular direction of the corpus callosum contour for each node of the corpus callosum contour. The displacement value for each node is then weighted based on a confidence of that displacement value. The ASM is then fitted to the adjusted contour. These steps are iteratively performed until the contour converges to define the corpus callosum boundary. This boundary can be further refined based on intensity distributions in object and background regions defined by the boundary.

    • The present invention relates to a method for proving the correctness of a query result produced by a data publisher while preserving the privacy of the query result. The method comprises delivering a public key of a public key/private key pair from a data owner to a client and delivering data and cryptographic metadata to at least one data publisher, wherein the metadata is associated both with the data and the public key of the public key/private key pair. The method further comprises receiving a query from the client, returning a query result and a verification object from the data publisher to the client in response to the query, and verifying the correctness of the query result, wherein the correctness of the query result is verified utilizing the verification object and the public key.

    • Disclosed is an inter-card channel protection method in a wave-length division multiplexing system. At the transmitting end, signals from the client side are divided via a coupler into two paths which are delivered to two cards, respectively. The two paths of signal transmitted by the two cards are sent via different routes to the receiving end. At the receiving end, the two paths of signal enter two cards, respectively, and the two cards communicate with each other directly. The standby card submits the signal quality detected by a detecting device to the primary card. The switching control unit on the primary card issues the commands of switching on/off the client-side lasers to the standby card in accordance with a decision made. One of the client-side lasers on the primary card and standby card is switched on while the other is switched off. The merits of this method include: protection can be realized with failures of card or essential chips thereon; protection switching can still be conducted with failures of system control unit; and, direct transfer of switching conditions and switching commands between the two cards is faster than communications with a system control unit via mailbox respectively.

    • An implementation method and system for accelerating the paging access of a mobile station in broadband wireless system are disclosed, and this system comprises base stations, mobile stations, an anchor access network gateway, an authenticator and a paging controller. The implementation method includes: (a) the anchor access network gateway sends to the base station a Paging Announce message including at least mobile station identifier and the authenticator identifier of the mobile station; (b) the base station keeps the corresponding relationship of the authenticator identifier and the mobile station, and sends a MOS-PAG-ADV message to the mobile station; (c) after the base station receives the RNG-REQ message from the mobile station, it interacts with the authenticator using the authenticator identifier to obtain the authentication key and perform the authentication; and acquire the information of mobile station from the paging controller; (d) before or after the base station requests the anchor access network gateway to establish a data channel, it sends a RNG-RES message to the mobile station; (e) after the anchor access network gateway receives the Data Channel Establishment Acknowledgement message, it informs the paging controller to delete the mobile station information thereon. The present invention can accelerate the process of paging access of the mobile station.
