摘要： The invention is directed to an inflatable display (10) that has a plurality of inflation modules. The modules are inflated by a fan element. More specifically, a first inflation module (30) is formed from a permeable material and configured to represent a predetermined shape or design when inflated, such as a snowman, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Uncle Sam or another seasonal or holiday character. The first inflation module (30) is surrounded by a non-permeable material creating an enclosure around the first inflation module and forming a second inflation module (20). The first inflation module (30) is formed with at least one exhaust port in its base, which has two purposes. First, the exhaust port acts to inflate the second inflation module (20). Second, the exhaust port in the first inflation module (30) acts in coordination with a mesh screen formed in the surface of the second inflation module to create an airflow that agitates a plurality of "snowlike" particles within the second module, or particles corresponding to any holiday and/or seasonal display.

摘要： A method for creating realistic synchronisation of a sound sample including speech to the motion of a lenticular image is disclosed, together with a device for achieving such synchronisation. The device includes a lenticular image consisting of a number of different individual images spliced together and printed on a substrate which can be moved relative to a lenticular screen to give the appearance of animation that the lenticular image. The sound sample is ideally stored in the memory of a sound chip and the synchronisation is achieved using a processor. In accordance with the invention, the synchronisation is achieved in a realistic and intrinsically simple manner by using a lenticular image which consists only of a few individual images taken from a sequence of a character or person opening and closing its mouth thus resulting in a very short animation sequence and using electronics to repetitively animate the sequence for substantially each and every syllable pronounced in the speech within the sound sample.

In accordance with the method, a voice track is recorded on one track of a dual track recording device, typically a tape recorder. On a second track of the recorder an animation signal is recorded characterized by the signal having a frequency at any given time indicative of the then currently desired animation condition. A character is provided having a tape playback unit therein for playing back such prerecorded dual track tapes, the character having an amplifier and speaker for reproducing the audio information, and a servo motor (24) having a drive system for driving the character mouth elements (52, 54) and eyes (46) with the desired animation, the drive system having a feedback device thereon for providing a feedback signal to the servo motor control. The electronics in the character which is responsive to the animation control signal provided by the playback unit to provide the servo motor drive signal effectively updates the servo motor drive signal on each cycle of the animation control signal received from the playback unit.
