摘要： 1382557 Reducing gas PULLMAN Inc 4 April 1973 [1 Feb 1973] 16111/73 Heading C5E Reducing gas containing H 2 and CO is made by (a) treating a preheated hydrocarbon feedstock having an average carbon number of 3 to 15 with steam in the presence of a bed of reforming catalyst, to produce an effluent gas comprising CH 4 , H 2 steam and oxides of carbon, (b) removing CO 2 from the gas and (c) reforming it in the presence of steam and a reforming catalyst to produce a gas containing at least 88 vol. per cent of H 2 and CO. The feedstock is liquid naphtha, liquefied propane or butane or mixtures thereof. The reforming catalysts are promoted or unpromoted Ni, Co, Fe or mixtures thereof on an oxide support, the catalyst in step (c) is preferably alkali metal promoted Ni at the reformer inlet and non-promoted Ni at the outlet. The CO 2 is removed by solvent absorption using monoethanolamine or K 2 CO 3 solution. Before step (a) the feedstock may be hydrorefined to remove S using H 2 obtained in a subsequent reforming step.

摘要： There is disclosed a process for the preparation of hydrogen-rich gas by passing a gas mixture containing carbon monoxide and water vapor over a sulfided catalyst which includes nickel and/or cobalt, molybdenum and aluminum with the aluminum being present in an amount of from 0.1 to 1.0 part of aluminum per part of nickel and/or cobalt on a weight basis. The catalyst is prepared by impregnating an alumina carrier with one or more solutions of compounds of the catalysts in which at least 40%w of the aluminum that is used is added to the carrier by co-impregnation with the nickel and/or cobalt.

VELOPMENT CORP 13 April 1971 9207/71 Heading C5E A gas mixture containing CO and H 2 O, e.g. from a partial combustion process, is subjected to a multi-stage catalytic shift conversion process at elevated pressure, a portion of the effluent from the first stage being recycled. Pressures in each stage range from 1 to 250 atmos. and the effluent entering the second stage is at a temperature below the inlet temperature of the gas entering the first stage. Temperatures in the stages range from 350‹ to 1050‹ F. and 350‹ to 800‹ F., respectively. Interstage cooling of the unrecycled gas may be performed by injecting condensate into the gas, or by indirect contact, e.g. in a waste heat boiler or, before or after taking off the recycle portion, by the incoming gas mixture. The catalysts, which may vary in composition in each stage, may be iron oxide promoted with Cr, Th, U, Be, or Sb, or mixtures of Cu salts or oxides and Zn salts or oxides.
