    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane, which is capable of reliably obtaining a seismic isolation effect on the occurrence of an earthquake, even for a seismic force in a direction parallel to the direction in which rails extend.SOLUTION: This crane is provided with: a crane body 1; a travel apparatus 2 that travels along rails 20, and moves the crane body 1; a rail clamp 3 that locks the travel apparatus 2 to the rails 20 in such a manner that the travel apparatus 2 does not travel along the rail 20; a base isolation device 13 that is disposed between the crane body 1 and the travel apparatus 2, and reduces seismic forces that enter the crane body 1 in a vertical direction relative to the direction in which the rails 20 extend; a sensor that detects seismic forces according to the severing of a shear pin of the base isolation device 13; and a clamping mechanism that releases the locking of the travel apparatus to the rail 20 by the rail clamp 3 when a seismic force is detected by the sensor.
