    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of accomplishing miniaturization of the whole device by minimizing a distance required for correction of oblique advancement of the sheet in a conveying passage.
      SOLUTION: The oblique advancement sheet 1a obliquely advanced/fed at oblique attitude is rotated until it becomes a required inclination angle becoming oblique attitude in a reverse direction once by a sheet rotation mechanism (rotation rollers 2a, 2b), it is abutted on a sheet width restriction plate, and the sheet attitude is corrected in a correct conveying direction by a sheet correction mechanism (conveying roller 3, oblique feeding roller 4) while guide it to perform conveying. Thereby, since a conveying distance required for straightly correcting the sheet in a regular conveying direction is minimized and the conveying passage can be shortened by the degree, the sheet conveying device can be minimized and a conveying speed can be increased by the degree.

The paper feeding tray 600 comprises a collapsible guide 620 for regulating an end part of the medium 601 loaded thereon. As the collapsible guide 620 can be folded at non-use time, the paper feeding tray 600 can be made compact at non-use time though the collapsible guide 620 has a sufficient size. Accordingly, when the paper feeding tray 600 is housed in the device body 110 at non-use time, only a small escape space needs to be secured in the device body 110 and the image forming device need not be enlarged.
