摘要： The field of the invention relates to systems and methods for surface treatments, and more particularly to systems and methods for surface treatments, modifications or coatings using micro- and nano-structure particles for both super-hydrophobic and super-oleophobic properties. In one embodiment, a method of treating surfaces to impart both super-hydrophobic and super-oleophobic properties includes the steps of pre-treating a substrate surface; assembling dual-scale nanoparticles onto the surface of the substrate; and treating the dual-scale nanoparticle coated surface with SiCl4 to cross-link the nanoparticles to each other and to the surface of the substrate creating a robust nano-structured topographic surface having both super-hydrophobic and super-oleophobic properties.

A coating layer is an organic paint coating composition on the at least one side of the metallic substrate, the coating layer including a predetermined color and a fingerprint resistive surface, wherein the coating layer is at least partially translucent such that the predetermined surface pattern is visible with the naked eye through the coating layer, and wherein the predetermined surface pattern is modified by the coating layer to reflect the combination of the predetermined surface pattern and the predetermined color of the coating layer.

摘要： An electronic device may have housing structures, electrical components, and other electronic device structures. Adhesive may be used to join electronic device structures. Adhesive may be dispensed as liquid adhesive and cured to form adhesive joints. Adhesive joints may be debonded. Chain reactions may be initiated by applying a localized initiator such as a chemical or localized energy to the adhesive. Once initiated, the chain reaction may spread throughout the adhesive to cure the adhesive, to globally change adhesive viscosity, or to weaken the adhesive to facilitate debonding. Local changes to adhesive may also be made such as local increases and decreases to adhesive viscosity. Chain reaction curing may be used to cure adhesive or debond adhesive that is hidden from view within gaps in the electronic device structures. Viscosity changes may be used to control where adhesive flows.
