摘要： A self-locking, reusable carton is formed from a unitary blank of paperboard. The carton and blank have self-locking end closure flaps which are hingedly coupled to adjacent end edges of the side panels of the carton. The closure flaps include two flaps with L-shaped slits formed therein and a locking flap free of fold lines with a locking tab at the free end thereof. During assembly the locking flap is forced downwardly to place the locking tab in the L-shaped slits to lock the carton in its fully assembled configuration.

摘要： A paperboard container for use in a microwave oven to cook an expandable food has a square bottom support panel, upwardly and outwardly tapering, concave, trapezoidal side panels connected to each edge of the bottom support panel, and a cover of overlapped, top panels. A top panel is foldably connected to an upper arcuate edge of each of the side panels and a seal is removably attached to one of the top panels and an opposed one thereof to close the container. Upon expansion of the food within the container in a microwave oven, the concave side panels will expand to aid in confining the food within the perimeter of the container.

摘要： A carton with a pyramid-shaped bottom and a blank for forming same has a collapsible pyramid-forming bottom structure which is hingedly coupled to the bottom edges of the side wall panels of the carton. The bottom structure comprises four triangular bottom panels, each of which is hingedly coupled to the bottom edge of one of the side wall panels and pairs of which are hingedly coupled together. One panel of each of the pairs of bottom panels has a locking tab with an abutment edge for abutting the abutment edge of the other locking tab to retain the carton in an assembled configuration against the bias of the carton towards its collapsed configuration. This permits the carton to be shipped and stored in essentially flat, collapsed configuration and then easily rearranged to its assembled configuration by the application of inwardly directed forces against side edges of the flat, collapsed configuration of the carton.

The bottom surface of the carton is cut to provide a plurality of tabs, which when bent from the carton, provide legs which space the bottom of the carton from a shelf in the oven, thereby allowing moisture vapor generated during heating to escape. According to a preferred embodiment, a moisture barrier film is releasably adhered to the bottom surface of the carton and a plurality of tabs so that, upon removal of the film prior to heating, the tabs are bent into their operable support position and the vent holes are opened.

摘要： A system for transporting panel members to a plurality of selected sorting locations includes two pair of laterally spaced, elevated, endless conveyor belts defining a path of travel coinciding with the sorting locations. The belts in each pair thereof are also laterally spaced to define a longitudinally extending slot therebetween. An air plenum disposed between opposite sides of each belt communicates with the slots and is coupled with an air pump to produce suction through the slot which releasably holds the panels against the belts as the latter carry the panels along the path of travel. Selectively actuatable, force transmitting mechanism disposed adjacent each of the sorting locations initially breaks the air seal between the leading edge of the panels and the belts, while deflection structure is provided to peel the panels away from the belts to permit gravity induced delivery thereof to the sorting locations.

First fold lines are provided at the junction of the lobes with the respective end of the blank. The fold lines intersect one another in a point which is adapted to be placed onto a respective corner of the box. Second fold lines are provided in each lobe spaced from and parallel to the respective first fold lines. This enables the lobes to be bent along the first fold lines to overlie the sides of the box and portions of the lobes to be bent underneath the box along the second fold lines. A slit is provided in one lobe of each pair and a tab on the other lobe of the pair and insertable into the slit to serve as a connecting means for the lobes.
