    • The present invention is to prevent a capture error of display data caused by a delay due to a built-in driving circuit in a display device with a built-in driving circuit. The display device comprises: a display area having a plurality of sub pixels; and a driving circuit formed at the periphery of the display area; wherein the driving circuit includes: a first scanning circuit that performs scanning in a first direction; and a latch circuit which latches display data inputted from external based on a scanning output outputted from the first scanning circuit; wherein the driving circuit includes a timing correction circuit which corrects the timing of level change of the scanning output outputted from the first scanning circuit based on a display data synchronization clock inputted from external; wherein the latch circuit latches display data by means of a corrected scanning output outputted from the timing correction circuit; and wherein a transmission line up to the latch circuit of the display data and a transmission line up to the timing correction circuit of the display data synchronization clock are adjacently arranged.

    • The present invention provides an image display device that is capable of reducing the power consumption. The total power consumption of a level shifter is reduced by using a pulse of an oscillator circuit as an enable signal of a level shifter for amplifying the enable signal to be supplied to a group of level shifters. The image display device includes an oscillator circuit, a first level shifter, and a plurality of second level shifters, which are mounted on a substrate and formed with thin-film transistors. The plurality of second level shifters each has a shutdown function for reducing the power consumption of the level shifters. The shutdown function of the first level shifter is controlled by an output pulse of the oscillator circuit. The shutdown function of the group of second level shifters is controlled by an output pulse of the first level shifter.

    • A liquid crystal display apparatus includes: one of a pair of substrates being transparent and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the pair of substrates; the one substrate including a plurality of scanning wirings, a plurality of signal wirings, a plurality of thin film semiconductor devices formed on intersections of the scanning wirings and the signal wirings, and a display electrode; and the other substrate including an opposed electrode.     • Disclosed is a piston for an internal combustion engine, which includes a land portion, and a skirt portion including a non-coated portion which is formed in an arbitrary shape on a sliding portion thereof and a coated portion which is formed on a sliding portion thereof other than the sliding portion on which the non-coated portion is formed. When the piston is descending, an oil which has adhered on a cylinder bore is introduced into the non-coated portion and accordingly an oil film is established in the non-coated portion. Since the advantageous effects of the coated portion and the oil film are combined in the piston, the sliding resistance can be reduced remarkably. Hence, the coated portion can be inhibited from wearing out, and its function of the sliding resistance reduction can be maintained for a long period of time. In addition, since the non-coated portion does not work as a sliding surface, there arises a reduced sliding surface area which also results in the reduction of the sliding resistance. The non-coated portion and the coated portion can be formed with a resin by printing. If such is the case, they can be formed with ease and at a less production cost.
