摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a porous hydrophobic high molecular material and to prevent the material from swelling so as to increase the air passing directions by providing vent holes the peripheries of which are sealed in a hollow structure formed by overlapping the peripheral edge part of a band- shaped porous hydrophobic high molecular material on both sides of a spacer. CONSTITUTION:For a spacer 2 having a thicknessof several mm is suited a material having a flexibility. A hollow structure 9 is formed by pasting or thermally fusing the peripheral edge portion of a band-shaped porous hydropolic high molecular material 8 onto both sides of the spacer 2 by means of a bonding agent. A number of vent holes 10 whose peripheries are sealed are provided therein. In the humidifier 11, a predetermined space is opened and the hollow structure 9 is folded back to form passage of air supplied from a blower or the like. The himidifier 11 is fixed by an auxiliary member for keeping the configuration there of and is formed into a rectangula shape. In a case where water is supplied to the inner part of the hollow structure and held therein, it prevents the porous hydrophobic high molecular material from swelling and the passing direction of dry air is freely changed.

By convection of water caused by heating, a water current passes through the adsorption means 53, so harmful substance in hot water is adsorbed, thereby harmful substance which cannot be eliminated by boiling only can be eliminated.
