摘要： A thermally stable magnetic deflection assembly for use in an electron or particle beam machine with several separately potted magnetic coils spaced apart and arranged in a particular vertical position on a central pipe. Non metallic, low coefficient of thermal expansion, highly thermally conductive materials are used throughout and means are provided for maintaining the entire assembly at a desired temperature. 摘要： A tool for removing a broken incandescent light bulb has a handle with a head projecting therefrom and preferably a resilient gripping member which snugly enshrouds the head, to frictionally engage an inner wall of the base of a broken light bulb such that when the tool is rotated the base can be dislodged from a light bulb socket. In a preferred embodiment a collar with stiffening ribs surrounds the tool, positioned to protect the user's hand from falling shards of glass. In a further preferred embodiment an accessory tool having one or more heads of different sizes is adapted to fit within a hollow end of the handle.

摘要： Device for displaying television pictures, having a display tube whose neck accommodates a gun system (3) for directing at least one electron beam to a display screen (4) and having an electro magnetic deflection unit (6) arranged around the envelope (5) of the display tube and comprising a first deflection coil (9, 10) and a second deflection coil (7, 8) located more closely to the display tube envelope and coaxially with respect to the first deflection coil. An annular core (11) encloses groups of conductors of both the first and the second deflection coil. An additional annular core (14) of a magnetisable material which encloses only groups of conductors of the second deflection coil (7, 8) is placed around the portion of the second deflection coil (7, 8) extending further to the display screen (4). The mutual location of the dipole fields is such that the north-south raster error is reduced.

A time-varying magnet with circular pole pieces is used to sweep the beam left to right.
