    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection cylinder for solid-laser oscillators wherein its reflection factor is high for any light included within the wide wavelength scope of 400-1000 nm, and it can condense efficiently the excitation light emitted from an excitation lamp into a laser medium, and further, it has a large terminal-shock resistance, and moreover, it can be used over a long term. SOLUTION: A reflection cylinder as a condenser for solid-laser oscillators is formed out of a mullite ceramics. As the mullite ceramics, there is used the one having its Al2O3 content 71-74 wt.%, its SiO2 content of 26-29 wt.%, the total content of Al2O3 and SiO2 of 99 wt.%, its bulk density not smaller than 3.0 g/cm3, its thermal expansion coefficient not larger than 4.5×10-6/ deg.C, and its few content of amorphous glass. As the inner peripheral section of the reflection cylinder, while an ellipse at whose two focuses an excitation lamp an a laser medium are positioned respectively is used preferably, a circle and rectangle can be also used. As a result, in the reflection cylinder, a reflectivity not smaller than 90% can be obtained for any light having a wavelength of 400-1000 nm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fitting structure of an O-ring for enhancing the reliability of sealing characteristic for a slab-type solid-state laser device, in which optical guiding members are combined in the both sides of a solid-state laser medium and sealing the gap between the optical guiding members and for accommodating cabinet with solution using an O-ring. SOLUTION: This device is structured so as to comprise a slab-type solid-state laser medium 1, an assembling body of this solid-state laser medium 1 and slab-type optical guiding members 2 arranged in both sides of the light inputting and outputting end surfaces through the alignment of optical axes thereof and an excitation lamp 3 built in the accommodation cabinet 4, in order to input and output the laser beam through the end surface of an optical guiding member 2 protruded to the outside from this accommodation cabinet 4 by applying a cooling medium to the inside thereof. An O-ring 6 is arranged, for the purpose of sealing, to the area where the optical guiding member 2 is provided through the end surface of the accommodating cabinet 4. The O-ring 6 is engaged with a circumferencial groove 2a, formed at the external circumference surface of the optical guiding member for the positioning to the area where it is not irradiated with the laser beam. Thereby, even if the optical guiding member is shifted in the axial direction at the time of adjusting the assembling position, the O-ring 6 will not shift from the constant position and the O-ring 6 is prevented from being burned when it is radiated with the laser beam.
