摘要： A neck support for use in athletic contact sports such as football, which includes a resilient, yieldable collar having at least one front support extending downwardly from the collar beneath an athlete's chin, and attached to his shoulder harness or pads. The collar intercepts the chin, and the collar and front support together prevent downward movement of the athlete's head past a predetermined position to prevent undesirable hyper-flexure of the cervical vertebrae and damage to the cervical spine, responsive to a blow or blows delivered to the athlete's head.

摘要： Headprotector for athletes, including a body of form-molded polyurethane integral foam surrounding the head on all sides, extending to the beginning of the neck vertebrae on the back of the head, and having a bowl-shaped region covering the chin, the molded body having openings formed therein for the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, a parting slot extending from the mouth opening over the chin bowl, and two parallel longitudinal slots extending over the occipital region of the head and ending at the lower edge of the molded body forming a free strap therebetween, the free strap extending from the upper region of the molded body to the beginning of the neck vertebrae.

摘要： A clavicle brace for giving support to a patient''s shoulders during the healing of an injured clavicle. The clavicle brace includes a body portion and integral first and second strap portions made generally of reticulated foam. A coupling means is substantially fixedly attached to the body portion for allowing the distal ends of the first and second strap portion to extend therearound after passing over the patient''s shoulders and under his axillae. The distal ends of the first and second strap portions are then doubled back on themselves and attached by Velcro type fastening means to other parts of the first and second strap portions thereby properly securing the clavicle brace to the patient.
