In one embodiment, the method can include the steps of: forming a plurality of column sections each having a diameter D, each column section comprising a plurality of courses that have been horizontally welded together, wherein each course is comprised of two or more partial shells that have been vertically welded together, wherein each of the two or more partial shells was created by vertically rolling a rectangular plate having a length of at least ( 1 N ⁢ π · D ) , wherein N is the number of partial shells used to form the course; installing a distributor and packing in each column section to form a plurality of packed column sections; and stacking the plurality of packed column sections to form a column.

摘要： A roof tarp system includes a roof surface located at the roof of an existing structure. Such a roof surface includes an inner layer and an outer layer spaced therefrom, wherein the outer layer has a plurality of first roof tiles. The roof surface further includes a continuous opening passes through the inner layer and the outer layer such that an uninhibited line of sight passes through the roof surface. A tarp is removably engaged with the roof surface in such a manner that the tarp completely covers the opening and becomes camouflaged with the outer layer. Such a tarp includes a body having a plurality of second roof tiles identical to the first roof tiles such that the tarp is camouflaged when positioned over the opening and onto the roof surface. In this manner, the outer layer is coplanar with the body of the tarp.

The tarp has a tar strip that runs parallel and abuts all edges of the tarp, the tar strip is at-least two and a half inches in width from each edge of the tarp and is at-least a half inch in height from the first face of the tarp. A cellophane covering overlaps the tar strip. A ridge is defined on the first face of the tarp. The ridge is adjacent to the tar strip and runs parallel to the tar strip. The ridge is at least half an inch in height. A first hook and loop material attachment means that is attached to the first face of the tarp and that runs parallel and is adjacent to the ridge of the tarp, the hook and loop attachment means is at least a half an inch inwards from the ridge. A second hook and loop attachment means attached to the second face of the tarp, the second hook and loop attachment means is located the same distance from the edges of the tarp as the first hook and loop attachment means. On each corner of the tarp, there is grommet attached. A lifting means is attached to the grommet.

摘要： A hold down device used to hold down a tarp placed over an object or placed over a sloped surface. The device comprises a flexible elongated body capable of being rolled into a compact roll during storage and then unrolled for use. The body includes a bladder designed to be filled with fluid material, such as water or sand. Formed on the bladder is at least one port opening and a removable cap that allows the user to selectively fill the bladder with fluid material to provide weight used to hold-down the edge of the tarp. Located along the top edge of the body is a plurality of grommets. Extending through the grommets are adjustable clips that enable the body to be selectively attached to the lower edge of a tarp or stakes that allow the device to hold down a tarp placed over a sloped surface.
