    • In the present invention, provided is a tray assembly of a distillation tower, comprising a perforated sheet installed in the distillation tower in a horizontal cross section shape of the distillation tower and forming a plurality of holes which allows gas to rise and pass through the sheet; and a plurality of pipe units installed to pass through the surface of the perforated sheet, protruding from the upper surface of the perforated sheet in a specific height, and providing a path which guides to the lower side of the perforated sheet when liquid flowing in the upper surface of the perforated sheet exceeds the specific height. The present invention has an effect of increasing throughput of a process by substituting a role of a downcomer for the perforated sheet and the pipe units and increasing a contact area of gas and liquid.

    • A Fuel Fractionation System (FFS) and associated methods to generate and store a fuel for internal combustion engines is provided. FFS provides a distillation column assembly (31) including a distillation column (33) to distill liquid fuel to form a volatile light fraction secondary fuel. The distillation column (33) includes a vaporization module (61) to vaporize a feed fuel in the distillation column and includes a condensation module (63) to condense heavy fraction components of the vaporized feed fuel. FFS also provides a controller (71) positioned to control the vaporization of feed fuel in the distillation column (33) to thereby control the separation of the feed fuel into light fraction fuel and heavy fraction fuel components, and positioned to control the condensation of the heavy fraction components so that fuel exiting a light fraction output port (53) in the distillation column (33) is substantially light fraction fuel components by volume.
