    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biosensing system and method for monitoring a physiological condition in a patient's body. SOLUTION: The implantable biosensing system for monitoring and optionally alleviating a physiological condition in a patient includes (a) at least one sensor for sensing at least one parameter of the physiological condition and for generating electric sensor signals representative of the physiological condition, and (b) a first acoustic activatable transducer being directly or indirectly coupled with the at least one sensor. The first acoustic activatable transducer converts an acoustic interrogation signal received from outside of the patient's body into an electric power for supplying energy to a processor. The first acoustic activatable transducer further converts the electric sensor signals of the at least one sensor into acoustic signals receivable out of the patient's body. By this, the information pertaining to the at least one parameter of the physiological condition is relayed outside the patient's body upon generation of the acoustic interrogation signal.
