    • An adjustable display frame has first and second U-shaped frame elements having aligned free end surfaces that abut to form a small display frame and are separated by first and second inert elements urged by a spring to provide a large display frame. Each U-shaped frame element has a pair of longitudinal slots which receive heads of headed studs projecting from a base disposed behind the frame elements, wherein the frame elements are secured to the base and are capable of sliding on the base from a first position, to provide the small frame, to a second position so as to provide the large frame. The inserts are slidable on the base inboard of the U-shaped frame elements and are spring biased so as to move between the free ends of the U-shaped frame elements when the U-shaped frame elements are separated by being pulled apart. Stops are provided for arresting motion of the inserts to align the inserts with the free ends of the U-shaped frame elements after the inserts have been pushed outwardly by the spring.

    • Modular elements connect together to form a framing device that supports an art package for display. Corner edges are positioned over a back support structure on which an art package rests, and are removably attached on outside corner regions of the back support structure. The corner edges at least partially sandwich an art package between the front face of the back support structure and the lips of the corner edges. Fasteners removably attach along the back support structure between corner edges. The back support structure comprises extenders attached with adjoining hardware, and support bars add extra support. Space adjusters adapt a framing device for proper fit. The framing device is re-usable and adaptable due to means of attaching and dismantling the modular elements, and by adapting modular elements to fit different sizes and aesthetic choices. Modular elements are occasionally interchangeable.

    • An adjustable picture frame comprising a plurality of inner and outer frame members telescopically displaceable with respect to each other. Each frame member has a front wall, two opposed sidewalls and a back wall. The picture frame has an arresting stud with rounded cam surfaces mounted within each inner frame member so as to project through an opening formed in one side wall thereof and a spring member urges the arresting stud to bear against the adjacent side wall of the associated outer frame member. At least two longitudinally spaced openings are formed in the adjacent side wall for receiving the arresting stud to thereby releasably hold the inner and outer frame members in a predetermined relative position. A blocking stud is mounted within each inner frame member so as to project through an opening formed in the side wall thereof opposite to said first side wall. The blocking stud has a rounded cam surface facing the outer end of the inner frame member, and a blocking surface extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the frame members and located oppositely to said rounded cam surface. A spring means urges the blocking stud to bear against the adjacent side wall of the associated outer frame member. An opening formed in the adjacent side wall near to the outer end of the outer frame member receives the blocking stud to prevent further outward movement of the inner frame member with respect to the frame member, while allowing relative movements of the frame members in the opposite direction.
