    • A hand-held laser device that stimulates hair growth. The device provides distributed laser light to the scalp while simultaneously parting the user's hair to ensure that the laser light contacts the user's scalp. A unique beam splitting reflector splits a single laser beam to ensure that energy from the laser beam is evenly distributed. The reflector is mechanically aligned with the laser source and has a zigzag structure which mechanically deflects portions of the beam as it passes over the peaks of the reflector. The portions of the laser beam form a line of laser beams that project toward the user's scalp. Parallel rows of teeth are aligned with a central row of individual laser beams and part the user's hair to form furrows in the user's hair as the device is combed through the user's hair. The furrows create an unobstructed path for the laser beam to reach the scalp of the user.

    • A preferred embodiment of a hair treatment solution collector is shown and described according to the teachings of the present invention as including a treatment receiving volume defined by a solution catching area and first and second side walls. The collector further includes a solution introduction ramp connected to the solution catching area and having a free edge. In its most preferred form, the free edge of the solution introduction ramp includes a taper for reducing the thickness of the ramp at the free edge for allowing ease of insertion of the ramp beneath hair curlers, perm rods, and the like. In the preferred embodiment, the collector further includes a handle attached to the back edge of the hair catching area including a generally horizontal portion and a second portion attached thereto at a slight downward angle. Therefore, a finger of the operator can be located under the along the handle with the thumb of the operator being pressed against the top surface of the handle. In its most preferred form, the collector further includes a stand for supporting the collector in a horizontal position to prevent escape or spilling of the hair treatment solution from the receiving volume. Furthermore, in its most preferred form, the side walls extend along the solution introduction ramp to form a solution entrapment portion along the introduction ramp for preventing the hair treatment solution from flowing over the side edges of the ramp.

    • With a device (1) to treat hair using ultrasound having two clamps (2, 3), which are connected to one another via a joint (4) and which swivel, an oscillating body (5) is arranged on an interior side (6) of a clamp (3). The oscillating body (5) is positioned such that a strand of hair (7), which is clamped between the clamps (2, 3) when the clamps are closed, comes into contact with the oscillating body (5) or is touching it. An ultrasound generator (8) and a resonator (9) are connected to one another and generate an ultrasound frequency for the oscillating body (5).
