摘要： A take out carton and a blank for forming the same is disclosed having a gabled top portion and unique locking closure which provides additional stability for the carton. More particularly, a carton is disclosed having a tubular side wall and an auto-erecting lock bottom. The subject carton further includes a pair of opposed top panels, each having a pair of tab receiving apertures disposed adjacent the side edges thereof. A pair of opposed closure panels are provided each including a base triangle and two side triangles. Each side triangle further includes a central fold line defining a pair of minor triangular portions. The carton has a generally inverted truncated pyramidal configuration to permit stacked nesting of the plurality of cartons. In the closed condition of the carton, the top edges of the top panels are in abutting relationship to define the gabled top configuration. Each side triangle of the closure panels is folded about its central fold line to define a double ply closure tab which is rotatable into coplanar relationship with the top panel. A portion of each closure tab is interengaged with a tab receiving aperture in a top panel to secure the carton in the closed position. The cooperation between the closure tabs and the tab receiving apertures in the top panel functions to provide increased stability for the carton and inhibits the relative shifting between the top panels thereof.

摘要： A closure for a cylindrically shaped ice cream carton or the like includes a unitary circular shaped plastic lid provided with a depending skirt portion. The top surface of the lid includes an inverted V-shaped bead extending concentric with and inwardly spaced from the outer circumference of the lid to provide a bead for retaining a plurality of similar lids in stacked relation, precluding them from slipping inwardly relative to each other. The top surface of the lid also includes a depressed centrally located area, which rigidifies the lid and provides a recess for labels containing printed indicia. The skirt of the lid includes a bottom, outwardly flared portion enabling the lid to be grasped and readily removed from tight fitting engagement with an ice cream carton and an upper, recessed portion to accommodate expansion of the ice cream carton without the lid popping off the carton.

摘要： A lamination process is provided for the lamination of a vinyl film to a cellulosic substrate, such as a wood product, e.g., particleboard, wherein grain swelling of the substrate is avoided. The process involves coating the wood product substrate with an organic polyisocyanate having at least two active isocyanate groups per molecule as a primer coat, and thereafter applying a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion adhesive to the primed substrate to form an interlaminate adhesive layer. A vinyl polymeric film is then applied to the adhesive-coated substrate to form a permanently bonded laminate of the substrate and the film. The lamination process of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in a continuous hot-line heat reactivated laminating procedure.

摘要： A shirt card, formed of a unitary blank of paperboard, for supporting a shirt during transport and display. The shirt is secured to the card without the necessity of pins. The shirt card is foldable and is self-locking in the folded position. The card comprises a main panel, a central fold line separating the main panel into top and bottom sections, a collar receiving extension at the top edge of the top section, a pair of slits receiving the sleeves of the shirt, a second set of slits receiving the sides of the shirt, and a tab and slit locking mechanism to lock the main panel in the folded position. The collar receiving extension can have a pair of opposed wing flaps for fully supporting the collar. A clothes hanger is received in the body portion of the shirt to support the shirt card with the shirt attached thereto.
