    • An optical control type microwave phase forming device includes: optical demultiplexers each for separating a light radiated from each of light sources into two branch lights; optical frequency converters each for deviating one of the two branch lights outputted from an optical demultiplexer by a predetermined frequency for outputting as a signal light; signal light emitting units each for converting the signal light into a signal light beam having a predetermined beam width to emit the signal light as a signal light beam to space; a spatial optical modulator for phase-modulating the signal light beams into signal light beams having a desired phase distribution; an optical multiplexer for converting the signal light beam outputted from the spatial optical modulator into a multiplex signal light beam to travel a coaxial optical path; an optical synthesizer for synthesizing the other branch lights outputted from the optical demultiplexers into a local light; a local light emitting unit for converting the local light into a light beam having a predetermined beam width to emit the light beam as a local light beam to space; and a beam synthesizer for spatially superimposing the signal light beam and the local light beam to form a synthesized beam.

    • A copying machine having a two-in-one copying mode comprises a document feeder means 65, 75 and three conveying means 90, 95, 101. The feeder means 65, 75 feeds a document toward a glass platen 29 one by one to stop the document at a first-out position. The first conveying means 90 conveys the document fed by the feeder means 65, 75 onto the glass platen. The second conveying means 95 conveys the document conveyed by the first conveying means 90 along the glass platen 29 until the rear end of the document reaches at a predetermined switch-back position, then conveys the document to the opposite direction to retreat a predetermined distance, and then conveys the document as well as a succeeding document stopped at the first-out position such that the front end of the document situated on a downstream side of the document conveying direction may be aligned with a exposure reference SP, and then discharging the documents to the downstream side of the document conveying direction after exposure. The third conveying means 101 for conveying the documents discharged by the second conveying means 95 from the glass platen 29 to a discharge section 115.

    • A finisher for delivering sheets ejected from a copying machine to a plurality of bins and thereafter stapling the sheets stored in the bin. The bins are wholly moved upward and downward step by step, and every time a group of sheets have been delivered to the bins, the movement of the bins is changed from an upward movement to a downward movement and vise versa. Stapling operation by use of a stapler is carried out on a level one step upper than a level where the bins receive sheets. Sheets of an odd page are delivered to the bins while the bins are moved upward step by step, and sheets of an even page are delivered to the bins while the bins are moved downward step by step. After a last sheet is received by a bin, the bins are moved upward by one step to start stapling operation with sheets stored in the bin which has received the last sheet.
