摘要： A solid polymer fuel cell that utilizes liquid fuel such as methanol should prevent generated water from residing in a ventilation port close to an anode, to thereby suppress degradation of a MEA. The fuel cell includes an anode, an anode-side collecting electrode, a sealing material located along a perimeter of a solid polymer electrolytic membrane and interleaved between the electrolytic membrane and the anode-side collecting electrode, and a discharging device that discharges a product generated through electric reaction on the anode. The sealing material is provided in a frame-shape around the anode. The discharging device is a ventilation port formed on the sealing material, and a water repellent material is provided at least one of inside the ventilation port and between the ventilation port and the anode.

摘要： A fuel cell system which allows uniform fuel distribution to respective fuel cells, comprising: a plurality of fuel cells 5 each including an anode 2, a cathode 3 and an electrolyte membrane 4 disposed between the anode 2 and the cathode 3; and a fuel supply flow path 6 branched to supply fuel to each of the fuel cells 5. The sectional area of the fuel supply flow path in the downstream of each branch connection is narrower than that in the upstream. The above-described structure avoids the decrease in the fuel supply pressure due to the reduced sectional area in the downstream of the branch connection. Therefore, the fuel is supplied to the respective fuel cell with uniform pressure.

The isolator includes an isolator element and a transmitting means. The isolator is disposed so that the isolator element is on light paths of input lights and that the transmitting element is on a light path of an output light. The isolator element is shared among the light paths of the plurality of input lights. The isolator element intercepts lights propagating in an opposite direction to the input lights and prevents coupling of the lights to input ports. The transmitting element transmits the output light and couples it to an output port.

If disk space insufficiency occurs in a redundant recording device or video recorder that is equipped with a redundant hard disk array to provide against failure, the nonredundant mode is temporarily selected to obtain a necessary disk space. 摘要： A device for detecting a vehicle comprises an image capturing an image of a view in front of the own vehicle. The apparatus comprises first and second determining means, distance detecting means, and storing means. Of these, in the storing means, a relationship between distances to light sources of vehicles and a range of levels of a signal to be imaged at light sources is previously stored. The first determining means determines a particular area in data of the captured image, the particular area being defined by pixels having signal levels higher than a predetermined level. The distance detecting means detects a distance from the image sensor to a position at which the particular area is imaged. The second determining means determines whether or not the particular area is the light source, by referring the detected distance and a signal intensity of the determined particular area to the relationship.
