    • An adjustable cushion support device for adjusting the holding pressure applied to support a seat cushion. The adjustable support device includes a frame member having a first end and a second end to support the cushion. A spring member is mounted on the frame member between the first end and the second end for flexibly supporting a load. A control mechanism is mounted on the frame member and is connected to the spring member for adjusting the holding pressure applied to the spring member. The control mechanism includes an enforcing member pivotally supported on the frame member for pushing the spring member upwards, a biasing member for biasing the enforcement member, and an operating lever to control the inclination of the biasing member to regulate the holding pressure applied to the spring member.

The first portion has curved surfaces which conform with a peripheral wall surface of the cathode ray tube at its top end portions and indented portions which distribute bearing stresses of a tension band uniformly over the tube to eliminate problems arising during explosion.

    • In manufacturing an insulated gate field effect transistor integrated circuit using both a self-alignment diffusion process and a non-self-alignment diffusion process, a mask is formed having a combined pattern of areas at which a subsequent self-alignment diffusion and a non-self-alignment diffusion will occur. An oxidation prevention layer for preventing thermal oxidation of a substrate is selectively formed on a semiconductor substrate using the prepared mask. Those areas of the semiconductor substrate which are not covered by the oxidation prevention layer are oxidized by thermal oxidation to form oxidized layers thereon, and impurities are diffused first in the areas of the substrate corresponding to the non-self-alignment portion of the mask pattern and subsequently in the areas of the substrate corresponding to the self-alignment portions of the mask pattern to build in an insulated gate field effect transistor network. According to the present method, the height of stepped areas produced in the insulating layer on the semiconductor substrate are minimized so that the breakage of the metallized pattern which extends over the stepped areas is prevented.

The short-circuiting switch or switches are capable of short-circuiting between the two transmission lines at positions at the same electrical length from one of the input/output lines.
