摘要： A power feeder (10) includes a flexible strip (12) having a conducting front side (12a) and an insulating back side (12b); a retainer unit (20) for holding the strip wrapped on a bar (18) with the back side being in close contact with the bar; a feeder unit (22) connected electrically with the front side of the strip; and a base (26) mounted detachably on the headstock (24) of an automatic lathe. A tool-positioning device (14) including this power feeder includes a driving unit (60) for bringing a tool (56) to be positioned into contact with the front side of the strip; a section (62) for detecting a conduction between the tool and the front side of the strip through the feeder unit to determine the position of contact with the tool; and a corrective processing section (64) for determining the position of a center axis (18a) of the bar based on the position of the determined position of contact with the tool and properly correcting the machining position data preset for the tool in accordance with the determined position of the center axis. The tool does not directly touch the bar, so that the surface of the bar and the tool itself are protected from damage.

摘要： According to the present invention, in an electronic timepiece with a solar cell comprising a timepiece movement, a timepiece case for housing the timepiece movement, a casing ring for housing and holding the timepiece movement in the timepiece case, a solar cell and a dial, the solar cell is disposed almost vertically to a solar cell positioning portion provided in the casing ring, and the solar cell has a slender strip shape formed on a flexible substrate. Consequently, a solar cell need not be disposed in a timepiece movement, and it is only necessary to change a casing ring as an external component even when a panel cover diameter is changed, allowing a common use of a timepiece movement. Further, a solar cell can be coiled to match the size of a casing ring when it is incorporated in the casing ring, therefore a common solar cell can be used despite a change in the panel cover diameter of the timepiece.

In an electronic timepiece driven by power stored from a power generating unit (1) into a storage unit (4), the electronic timepiece includes a power generation detecting unit (2) that detects a power generation state of the power generating unit (1) and a switch unit (7) that separates the power generating unit (1) and the storage unit (4) when the power generation state of the power generating unit (1) is detected. In this case, the switch (7) between the power generating unit (1) and the storage unit (4) is controlled to OFF so that the output from the power generating unit (1) cannot be limited by the output from the storage unit (4).
