摘要： The invention provides a novel polymeric compound having crosslinkability by irradiation with actinic rays, e.g. ultraviolet light, and useful as a polymeric base ingredient of a negative type photoresist composition with high sensitivity and resistance against dry etching. The polymer is obtained by the anionic living polymerization of a vinylsilyl group-containing styrene derivative of the formulaCH.sub.2 .dbd.CH--C.sub.6 H.sub.4 --CH.sub.2).sub.n SiR.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2,in which R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, e.g. methyl and phenyl, and n is an integer of 0 to 3, in a specific solvent in the presence of a specific polymerization initiator so that the polymerization takes place only at the styrenic vinyl groups leaving the silicon-bonded vinyl groups unpolymerized. Quite unexpectedly, the polymer has a very uniform monodisperse distribution of the molecular weight.

摘要： Disclosed is an ungelled acrylic resin composition containing an acrylic polymer having in a molecule thereof at least one group containing a silicon atom selected from: ##STR1## wherein each R independently is selected from the group of moieties consisting of Y, hydrogen, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 group joined to Si through an Si-C linkage, and OR.sup.7 in which R.sup.7 represents alkyl having at least 4 carbon atoms, aryl, alkylaryl, arylalkyl, aryloxyalkyl, or alkyloxyalkyl, wherein Y represents an easily hydrolyzable group.The acrylic resin composition, contains an amount of easily hydrolyzable Y moieties such that the ratio of the number of grams of the ungelled acrylic resin composition to equivalent of easily hydrolyzable Y moieties in the ungelled acrylic resin composition is in a range of from 40 to 667. Preferred acrylic resin compositions of the invention can be cured in the presence of atmospheric moisture and a suitable catalyst at a temperature of less than or equal to 121 degrees Celsius within 3 hours.Disclosed is a method for producing the ungelled acrylic resin composition.Also disclosed is a nonaqueous composition, particularly a nonaqueous coating composition, containing the ungelled acrylic resin composition. Preferred coating compositions containing an ungelled acrylic resin composition can be cured in the presence of atmospheric moisture and a suitable catalyst at a temperature of less than or equal to 121 degrees C. within 3 hours.

摘要： The present invention relates to copolymers which can be used as adhesion mediating agents (adhesivers) between polymers and inorganic-oxide material. They are characterized by a reactive alkoxysilyl group and an acrylic or methacrylic acid moiety. Each of these two groups is linked to a fundamental constituent having two chain carbon atoms, this fundamental constituent being constructed on a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group as monomer. The ratio of the alkoxysilyl groups to the acrylic or methacrylic acid esters in the new copolymers can be established as desired, for example by copolymerizing the copolymers with other compounds having ethylenically unsaturated groups, which do not have the above-named moieties. The present invention also relates to a method of preparing these new copolymers as well as intermediates which occur in the practice of this method, as formerly unknown products.

摘要： A colored polymer emulsion having dispersed therein particles of a copolymer having at least 2.times.10.sup.-5 g-eq./g of the copolymer, of a phosphoric acid group or salt thereof. The copolymer particles have an average particle size of not larger than 1 .mu.m and a minimum film-forming temperature of not higher than 35.degree. C., and have been dyed with a basic dye. The emulsion is capable of forming a film having an improved water resistance and light resistance. The emulsion is prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (a - 1) a monomer having a phosphoric acid group or a salt thereof, (a - 2) a hydrophobic monomer and (b) a optional hydrophilic monomer by an emulsion polymerization procedure, and then incorporating a basic dye to the obtained polymer emulsion, or by carrying out the emulsion polymerization in the presence of a basic dye.
