    • PURPOSE:To promote the drying of combustible viscous liquid on the wall surface and enable stabilized combustion of char bed, by installing a division wall which divides a furnace into more than two chambers, providing a primary air supply port and a char bed respectively into each small chamber, and an oscillator directed at the division wall of each small chamber respectively. CONSTITUTION:Black-colored liquid is discharged from each oscilator 5 provided on the furnace wall of small chambers 4A and 4B divided by a division wall 6. The thus ejected black liquid is collided against the division wall 6 on the opposite sides where wall surface drying is carried out. Then, the dried black solidified substances drop to a char bed located in a lower part from the division wall and are subjected to combustion. It is,therefore, possible to prevent the collision of the black liquid discharged from the opposed oscillators 5 at the intermediate part of the furnace, a drop of undried black substances to the char bed, and hence stabilize the combustion of the char bed. At the same time, the distance between a primary air port 8 and a black liquid drying area for the division wall 6 is increased to a greater extent, which can sharply reduce the quantity of dust which may be carried over.

    • PURPOSE:To increase a radiation by a method wherein a radiation promoting ceramic layer is kept in fire-proof block through shock absorbing materials of heat-resistant fiber while the holes passed through the radiation promoting ceramic layer are communicated with the surrounding space at both front and rear surfaces of the layer. CONSTITUTION:A radiation promoting ceramic layer 11 has several holes or grooves in a surface thereof and at least a part of these holes or grooves passes through the ceramic layer in a direction perpendicular thereto. A shock-absorbing material 12 composed of heat-resistant fiber which becomes an intermediate layer keeps a heat resistant characteristic and softness even under a high temperature and is composed of ceramic fiber of high melting point. The heat- resistant block 13 compliments the thermal insulation of hot heated ceramic layer subsequent to the thermal insulation performed by the shock dampening thermal insulation material 12 and at the same time keeps the radiation promoting ceramic layer. Thus, it is made possible to promote an effect of heating caused by the promotion of radiation.
