摘要： An industrial oil reconditioning system forces dirty oil through a three-stage filter which usually includes a first stage comprising a blend of relatively flexible fibers and rigid fibers, a second stage which is all flexible fiber material, and a third stage, preferably of animal fiber. As the oil is forced through the system, under pressure, the fibers of the first and second stages are compressed. The fibers of the first and second stages are cut to a length which causes a weaving or matting during compression to prevent channels from forming in the filter through which oil might pass without being cleaned. The heat of the oil may be precisely controlled at different points in the system to thin the oil, to break emulsions, and to vaporize contaminant fluids. The filtering materials and temperatures may be varied depending upon the type of oil and contaminants being processed. Most industrial oils can be satisfactorily cleaned with one pass through the system. A number of convenience features are built into the system.

摘要： The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the recovery of spraying substance when spraying elongated rolled stock. Difficulties are met when trying to recover water-dilutable or water-soluble coating agents since after evaporation of the solvent, i.e. the water, the film which is left can no longer be dissolved by water and thus it is no longer possible to recover this fraction of the spraying substance. According to the invention, therefore, it is proposed to carry out the spraying in a water-saturated atmosphere so that the excess spraying substance can easily be recovered. The apparatus is appropriately constructed to correspond to these circumstances.

摘要： There are provided a process and apparatus for the reclamation of oil from emulsified mixtures of oil, water and particulate solids. Basic to the process is the introduction of the emulsified mixture to undergo reclamation into a settler providing an internal mixing centerwell in communication with a surrounding settling tank at a first temperature. Typically, the surrounding settling tank consists of a cylindrical zone and a conical zone. At a base of the settling zone is an exhaust for sludge and, if desired, water. At the opposed or upper end of the settling zone is a clarified-oil outlet, which is preferably in the form of an annular, peripheral weir. The mixing centerwell has an inlet and outlet for flow of a heating fluid, typically steam; or of a cooling fluid, typically water, therethrough. The emulsion and demulsifying agent are added to the central mixing zone. Agitation is substantially confined thereto. Operation may be on a batch, semi-continuous or continuous basis. Only one settling system is required for batch operation. Two or more settling tanks are operated in series for semicontinuous or continuous operation. Clarified oil is passed to a surge zone operated with a dessicating filter to remove final quantities of solids and water from the oil.

摘要： An integrated process universally applicable for the reclaiming of used lubricating oils, regardless of the contaminants or previous additive systems contained therein, is provided to produce an intermediate low-ash oil or a high-grade lube oil stock which comprises (a) contacting the used oil with an aqueous ammonium salt treating agent, (b) removing a major portion of water, (c) separating the oil phase from the resulting residual product, (d) subjecting the resulting separated oil to hydrotreating and thereafter (e) stripping the resulting hydrotreated lube oil stock. Optionally the low-ash product of step (c) can be recovered for use as a fuel oil, in grease formulations, or in the preparation of some types of lubricating oil formulations.
