    • The invention relates to floating roof tanks for liquids, of the type comprising a cylindrical wall (2), a floating roof (3), and a flexible membrane (4) connecting the periphery of the floating roof to the wall. In accordance with the invention, the tank further includes an overflow duct for providing protection against over-filling when the roof (3) is in its top position. The overflow duct (26) is mounted on the outside of the tank and has an upsidedown U-shaped portion disposed at a height corresponding to a maximum predetermined level for liquid inside the tank when the roof is in its top position. The invention is applicable to the nuclear power industry for storage tanks for topping up the primary circuit of a nuclear reactor with de-gassed water.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormal state of a sealing device with high reliability in a dry gas holder.
      SOLUTION: The dry gas holder 1 includes: a sealing device provided on the peripheral edge of a piston; an oil groove 20 provided circumferentially along the bottom of the dry gas holder 1; two dividing gates 21 provided directly below a rotation prevention key 9 and diving the oil groove 20 into two sections A1 and A2; dividing gates 22 further dividing the sections A1 and A2 into sections B1 and B2, and C1 and C2; sealing oil pumps 30 provided in the sections B1 and B2, and C1 and C2 of the oil groove 20 and circulate the sealing oil dripping in each section into the sealing device. The dividing gates 22 are provided in places where the amounts of stored sealing oils in the sections B1 and C1 and sections B2 and C2, adjacent to each other with the corresponding dividing gates 22 between them, are equal.
