摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool which can attach/detach a surface, to which the chips, etc., by the cutting tool are adhered, without using a fixing implement and an attaching/detaching tool. SOLUTION: The cutting tool has a housing 1 in which a driving mechanism is stored, a base 2 attached to the housing 1, and a blade 4 projected from a blade hole 21 of the base 2, and cuts a material to be cut by the blade 4 which is driven to reciprocate while the base 2 is moved being brought in contact with the surface of the material to be cut. The contact surface of the base 2 contacting the material to be cut is covered with a protective cover 3, which is to be a new contact surface, and the protective cover 3 is attachable to/detachable from the housing 1 or the base 2. An attachment/detachment means carrying out an attachment/detachment movement is able to carry out the attachment/detachment movement without using the different fixing implement and the tool. SOLUTION: A lock component 11 composing a shoe holding part is provided on an outside under surface of a nose part 2a in a housing 2. The lock component 11 is integrally formed of a base plate 12 of a plane shape and a lock plate 13 having resilience formed by bending a part of the base plate 12 in a cutting-raised state, and an engaging projection 13a is provided to a tip of the lock plate 13. A plurality of engaging grooves 22 are provided along a longitudinal direction to a fitting leg 21 of the shoe 20, and the fitting leg 21 is pinched from up and down by being inserted between the base plate 12 and the lock plate 13. Besides, the shoe 20 is fixed to the housing 2 by engaging the engaging projection 13a of the lock plate 13 with the engaging groove 23 of the fitting leg 21.
