A scenic travel toy comprises a turntable 12 having a series of radial slots 17 formed therein, the slots extending between a circular inner boundary C 1 and a circular outer boundary C 2 a board B overlying the turntable 12 and having a channel 23 cut therein to define an endless undulating road which lies between said boundaries and intersects all of said slots 17, at least one vehicle 25, 26 or 27 movable along said road, said vehicle having a follower pin 29 projecting into one of said slots, and a drive 15 and 16 to turn said turntable to cause said vehicle to travel along said road. The turntable 12 is a ring having inner teeth 13 and outer teeth 14 including a handcranked pinion 15 engaging the outer teeth 14. A gear 21 centrally mounted within said ring is operatively coupled by an idler wheel 22 to the inner teeth 13, a disc 35 may be mounted on said gear 21 to turn therewith and a boat 34 may be mounted on the disc 35. A second gear 18 may be positioned to engage the outer teeth 14, said gear 18 having radial slots 19 form therein and a water-wheel 36 disposed above board B and having pins 37 thereon received within slots 19 in gear 18 to cause the water wheel to rotate with the turntable.

A toy amusement park comprises in combination a track 13 consisting of a plurality of track sections 13a, 13b and station units 13d, a powered vehicle 10 adapted to travel on said track, and a plurality of revolving units 40a, 40b, 40c, interchangeably connected to said station units which have manually controlled means for causing the vehicle to be stopped on and released from the station unit and means for transmitting to the revolving unit connected thereto, motor power being transmitted from the vehicle when stopped on the station unit, thereby enabling the vehicle to operate the revolving units successively at each station. As each vehicle 10 arrives at each station unit 13d, the projection 56 projecting downwardly of the vehicle is adapted to engage with either one of the two guid estops 22, 22', thus causing the vehicle to be stopped as shown in Fig. 4. The driving wheels 12 thereof which continue rotating are brought into frictional contact with the periphery of the roughened cylinder 33 thereby enabling the cylinder to be rotated. As it rotates the pinion 37 co-axially mounted therewith is rotated and rotates the small crown gear 41 on the connecting plate 42 of the revolving units, thus enabling the working parts of the revolving units to be actuated. When the operator pushes the push-button 26 against the spring action exerted by spring 19, the guide stops 22, 22' are lowered causing the projection 56 to be disengaged, whereupon the vehicle 10 is released to travel to the next station unit.
