    • PURPOSE: To improve adhesion between a gel film and a base by forming a medium material for electrophoresis into the three-layered structure consisting of a base layer, an adhesive layer contg. a specific polymer and a medium layer for electrophoresis contg. an acrylamide compd., polyacrylamide aq. gel and anionic surface active agent.
      CONSTITUTION: A glass sheet, paper or various plastic sheets are used for a base and an adhesive layer is formed thereon. The adhesive layer is a layer contg. the polymer having the repeating molecular building block expressed by any of the general formulas I WIII. An aq. soln. or a solvent soln. which is a mixture of water with an org. solvent and consists essentially of the water in the case of the hydrophilic copolymer, or a solvent soln. which is a mixture of an org. solvent with water and consists essentially of the org. solvent in the case of the hydrophobic copolymer is coated on the base and is dried, thereby forming the adhesive layer. The medium layer for electrophoresis is formed by dissolving or dispersing preliminarily an acrylamide compd. and a crosslinking agent in the form of an aq. soln. or aq. dispersion and crosslinking and polymerizing both in water to form an aq. gel medium. Such medium layer for electrophoresis has high adhesion to the base and therefore the elimination of an intricate operating process is made possible.

By adhering both layers by the bove mentioned adhesive layer, the adhesive force of the gel film in a wet state and the support layer can be increased and the gel film not delaminated from the support layer can be formed.
