摘要： A method for producing urea. A methane-containing feed gas stream is reacted with oxygen by partial oxidation to form a synthesis gas stream containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The carbon monoxide is reacted with water in a water gas-shift reaction to form carbon dioxide and hydrogen. The synthesis gas stream is separated into a first synthesis gas substream a second synthesis gas substream. The first synthesis gas substream is subjected to pressure-swing adsorption to separate hydrogen and the second synthesis gas substream is subjected to temperature-swing adsorption to separate carbon dioxide. The separated is reacted with nitrogen to form ammonia and the ammonia is reacted with the carbon dioxide to form urea.

摘要： An Ultra High Purity (UHP) carbon dioxide purification system and a method for purification of UHP carbon dioxide is disclosed. The purification system includes supported nickel oxide and supported palladium oxide. An upper portion of the purification system is at least partially filled with supported nickel oxide, and a lower portion of the purification system is at least partially filled with supported palladium oxide. The upper and lower portions of the purification system have a physical separation but are in fluid communication. The method includes purification or pre-purification of High Purity (HP) carbon dioxide to Ultra High Purity (UHP) levels including feeding carbon dioxide of High Purity grade or better to an Ultra High Purity carbon dioxide purification system.

The pressure swing adsorption unit startup mode comprises purging the adsorption beds with N2, then purging the adsorption beds with H2, and then adjusting the pressure of the H2 in the adsorption beds to within defined target pressure ranges.

摘要： The present invention provides gels, solutions, films, membranes, compositions, and other materials containing polymerized and/or non-polymerized room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs). These materials are useful in catalysis, gas separation and as antistatic agents. The RTILs are preferably imidazolium-based RTILs which are optionally substituted, such as with one or more hydroxyl groups. Optionally, the materials of the present invention are composite materials comprising both polymerized and non-polymerized RTILs. The RTIL polymer is formed from polymerized RTIL cations typically synthesized as monomers and polymerized in the presence of the non-polymerized RTIL cations to provide a solid composite material. The non-polymerized RTIL cations are not covalently bound to the cationic polymer but remain as free cations within the composite material able to associate with charged subunits of the polymer. These composite materials are useful in catalysis, gas separation, and antistatic applications.

摘要： A method for improving Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and recycling exhaust gases therefrom. The method includes: 1) transforming raw gas for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using a water-gas shift reaction, transporting the transformed raw gas to a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis device for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in the presence of a Fe-based or Co-based catalyst; 2) introducing exhaust gases from the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis device to a first pressure-swing adsorber for hydrogen recovery; 3) introducing the exhaust gases from 2) to a second pressure-swing adsorber for methane recovery; 4) returning part of the hydrogen obtained from 2) to 1) to mix with the raw gas, and transforming a resulting mixed gas to adjust a hydrogen/carbon ratio of the raw gas; and 5) introducing the methane in 3) to a methane reforming device to reform the methane whereby yielding syngas having relatively high hydrogen/carbon ratio, and transporting the syngas to 1) to mix with the raw gas.

摘要： The integration of plasma processes with combined cycle power plant, simple cycle power plant, and steam reforming processes. A method of producing purified hydrogen gas and fuel is described including compressing a feed stream of hydrogen, adding tail gas from a plasma process to the feed stream, passing the tail gas modified feed stream into a pressure swing adsorption system generating a purified hydrogen product and a pressure swing adsorption tail gas, separating and compressing the purified hydrogen product, and separating and compressing the pressure swing adsorption tail gas for use as fuel. A method of generating and recapturing electricity from a single or combined cycle power plant is also described including flowing natural gas into a plasma process and hydrogen generating plant, flowing the hydrogen produced into the power plant, flowing natural gas into the power plant, resulting in the production of electricity. The electricity is flowed back into the plasma process plant, and in the case of the combined cycle power plant the electricity is partially flowed into a power grid as well. A method of generating and recapturing electricity from a steam power plant is also described, including inputting electricity and natural gas into a plasma process air and hydrogen generating plant, flowing the air and hydrogen produced into a steam generating boiler, flowing the steam generated into a steam power plant, resulting in the production of electricity which is flowed back into the plasma process plant.
