The bracket (10) has a base or back side (12), a right sidewall (14), a bottom segment (18) and a top segment (16) that cooperate to define a mounting means for a single control module (40). The base has mounting slots (22) for attaching the mounting bracket to a panel. The sidewall (14) has clearance holes (24) for attaching the mounting bracket to the side of a PLC rack assembly instead if desired. The bottom segment (18) contains a threaded insert (30) that aligns with and accepts a mounting screw (50) on the control module (40) and the top segment (16) has a tab (20) that mates with a slotted opening (54) on the control module. The control module is fastened to the mounting bracket by one mounting screw. This provides a quick and efficient method of attaching or removing the control module.
