    • A fiber optic telecommunications frame is provided including panels having front and rear termination locations, the panels positioned on left and right sides of the frame. The frame includes vertical access for the rear cables. The frame further includes left and right vertical cable guides for the front patch cables. The frame further includes cable storage spools for the patch cables. The frame includes a horizontal passage linking the left and right panels and the cable guides. A portion of the frame defines splice tray holders and a central passage from the splice tray holders to the rear sides of the left and right panels. From a front of each panel, access to a rear of the panel is provided by the hinged panels. Alternatively, the panels can form connector modules with front termination locations and rear connection locations for connecting to the rear cables. The modules can house couplers, such as splitters, combiners, and wave division multiplexers. The termination locations can be located on the same side of the frame as the splice tray holders, or on an opposite side. An enclosure of the frame included hinged or otherwise moveable panels to allow access to the terminations or the splice trays.

    • The present invention provides a cable attachment device preferably for attaching a cable to a rack adapted to accommodate a plurality of cables terminating in said rack. The cable attachment device comprises a panel (1) having received therein plural openings (2) adapted to receive a cable attachment means (3) adapted to hold a cable. The cable attachment device is characterized in that said cable attachment means (3) comprises an attachment base (4) being projected on opposing end sides thereof by lugs (5) extending in different directions with respect to each other and that said panel (1) has received therein at least one pair of receiving openings (2) adapted to receive the lugs (5) of said cable attachment means (3), wherein said cable attachment means (3) and said receiving openings (2) are adapted to arrange the lugs (5) within the receiving openings (2) by a swivel movement of the cable attachment means (3) around the lug (5) arranged within the associated receiving opening (2) to arrange the opposing lug (5) in the remaining receiving opening (2) followed by a sliding movement of said cable attachment means (3) in a direction essentially parallel to the surface of said panel (1). Thereby, an installation of the cable by means of the cable attachment device can be improved.
