    • PURPOSE:To enable high-density recording, make it difficult to falsify written informations and enable simplification of manufacturing process, by providing an optical recording material on a card base so that the second recording layer makes contact with the card base. CONSTITUTION:The optical card 1 comprises the optical recording material 3 on the card base 2. The optical recording material 3 is constituted of a base material 4 for the optical recording material, the first recording layer 7 which consists of light-transmitting parts 5 and light-shielding parts 6 provided on the lower side of the base material 4, and the second recording layer 8 which consists of a reflective thin metallic film provided on the lower side of the first recording layer 7. The optical recording material 3 is so provided that the second recording layer 8 makes contact with the card base 2. The base material 4 preferably consists of a glass or a plastic film. A photosensitive material is constituted of a transparent resin, a photolyzable development inhibitor and a metallic complex compound or a metallic compound. Accordingly, it is made possible to read written informations on the basis of differences in light reflectance and to record in high density, and it is extremely difficult to falsity the written information.
