    • A track assembly for supporting fabric on a surface includes a base track defining a first half of a hinge and a first half of a snapping clamp. The base track preferably includes a tension force dissipater extending from the first half of the hinge. An upper track defines a second half of the hinge and is pivotally connectable to the base track. The upper track defines a second half of the snapping clamp for releasably engaging the fabric. The upper track includes a strut extended downwardly towards the base track such that when high tension forces are applied to the upper track, due to fabric tensioning, the strut contacts the base track and at least partially transmits the tension forces to the surface.

    • A frame for a partition system and a component of the frame are disclosed. The component automatically and evenly tensions a fabric about a partition panel. The component of the frame includes a support element and a lockable element. The support element defines a cavity that receives and supports the panel. The lockable element extends from the support element and supports the fabric that is to be tensioned about the panel. Also, the lockable element is moveable relative to the support element. The component further includes an integral hinge between the support element and the lockable element. The integral hinge enables the movement of the lockable element relative to the support element. As a result, the fabric supported on the lockable element is automatically and evenly tensioned about the panel upon the movement of the lockable element. The component also includes a backing strip to protect the fabric from the integral hinge.

    • A slide-in building insulation system wherein a plurality of slide tracks are secured in spaced parallel relation to a plurality of secondary structural members which are extended longitudinally between oppositely situated primary structural members of the building roof structure and/or walls. An elongated suspension sheet, including a flexible fabric extended between thicker guide strips along each edge thereof, is slide-fit into place with the guide strips being received within and advanced through the slide tracks so that the suspension sheet covers the space between adjacent slide tracks. An edge suspension sheet covers the space between a primary structural member and an adjacent slide track, each edge suspension sheet having a guide strip along only one side edge thereof and an opposite side edge adapted to be secured to the primary structural member. Curved connectors in the side tracks at the junction of the roof structure and wall, and a flared feed-in fitting on the end of each slide track may facilitate slide-in advancement of the suspension sheet during installation. The invention is further directed to a method of covering and sealing the roof structure and/or walls of a building with the slide-in building insulation system.

    • Provided is a flexible, water impervious flash strip for forming a substantially permanent watertight seal between an awning assembly and the building structure to which the awning assembly is attached. The flash strip includes a lip protrusion extending from the rear of the flash strip and biased to extend rearward and slightly upward from the flash strip, a leg protrusion depending from the rear of the flash strip, and a tab protrusion depending from the bottom of the flash strip between the front and rear of the flash strip. The tab protrusion is mated to the elongated stapling channel of a framing tube that is at the upper edge of the awning assembly and that is to be attached to the wall of the building. The flash strip is oriented so that as the framing tube is drawn toward and secured to the wall of the building, the leg protrusion of the flash strip is sandwiched between the framing tube and the wall of the building, and the lip protrusion engages the wall and automatically deforms while sliding slightly up the wall to define a secure seal between the flash strip and the wall. The flash strip diverts water flowing down the wall of the building across the flash strip and onto the cover of the awning to substantially preclude the flow of water between the awning and the building.
