    • Container systems used in storage, deployment or retrieval of a seismic cable array comprise a container, at least two coiling elements attached to a bottom side of the container, and storage means for allocating or accommodating, in an ordered arrangement, a number of seismic stations and/or a number of couplers/splices and/or other discontinuities which are being interconnected by sections of the seismic cable. Said storage means is arranged between said coiling elements and are attached to the bottom side of the container. The seismic cable is spooled or wound around said coiling elements. Corresponding methods of storing a seismic cable and deploying/retrieving the seismic cable are based on the use of at least two coiling elements and storage means for allocating or accommodating a number of seismic stations and/or a number of couplers/splices and/or a number of other discontinuities and arranged between said coiling elements.

    • The present invention provides a method of securing freight containers on a deck of a large ship, and a spring lashing bar, a space adjuster and a securing system used in the method. In the method of the present invention, a movable lift is installed on a rail provided on a lashing bridge so as to be movable in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. Freight containers are aligned with each other using tensile force generated in a horizontal direction by a container aligning device provided on a work table provided on the movable lift. The freight containers are coupled to each other using twistlocks in a vertical direction. Subsequently, adjacent left and right containers are coupled to each other using couplers and variable type coupling devices such that the freight containers are integrated with each other along an entire width of the ship or some width thereof.

    • A lashing device includes a stretching device which is to be fastened between two fixing points that are to be secured to one another, the stretching device including stretching device parts which are each connectible to one of the fixing points. At least a first stretching device part has a stretching rod extending in the longitudinal direction of the stretching device and has a threaded portion. A second stretching device part supports a nut part which is to be screwed onto the thread of the first stretching device part. Between the first and the second stretching device part, a coupling part is arranged which, by snap action, allows mutual rotation of the two stretching device parts in at least a direction of rotation which corresponds to tightening of the stretching device and counteracts rotation in the opposite direction.
