    • A mounting connector (10) for suspending articles such as fenders from the life lines (18) and life rails in boats provides a secure attachment while enabling rapid disengagement or adjustment in the position of the fender. The mounting connector (10) includes a hook arrangement (13, 14) which hooks onto the life line (18) or life rail. A blocker such as the tail of the fender rope R can be inserted into the hook arrangement to prevent accidental disengagement. The fender line (R) passes through two closely spaced parallel holes (11, 12) in the body portion (28) of the connector and can be readily adjusted lengthwise relative to these holes when the connector is moved to a horizontal position, but which bind with such holes when in normal suspended condition.

    • Bei einer Längenverstellvorrichtung für Segelboot-Trapeze, mit einem am freien Ende des Trapezdrahtes (1) befestigten Haltegriff (3) sowie einer im Bereich des Haltegriffes (3) umgelenkten Trapezseilanordnung (6), an deren einem Endbereich der Trapezring (9) befestigt ist, in den der Haken des vom Segler getragenen Trapezgurtes einhängbar ist und an deren anderem Endbereich ein Gummizug (16) im Sinne einer Verkürzung des ringseitigen Endes der Trapezseilanordnung (6) angreift und mit einer zwei Klemmbacken (7) aufweisenden, über eine Drucktaste (14) zu öffnenden Klemmvorrichtung (7,14) zur Fixierung der eingestellten Länge des Trapezseiles (5), wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Klemmvorrichtung (7,14) am Haltegriff (3) vorgesehen ist, daß die Klemmvorrichtung (7,14) zwei beweglich gelagerte und in Richtung der Schließbewegung federbelastete Klemmbacken (7) aufweist, daß die Drucktaste (14) mit beiden Klemmbacken (7) über Verbindungselemente in Wirkverbindung steht, daß der Haltegriff (3) mittels einer eine Umlenkrolle (4) für das Trapezseil (5) aufweisenden Befestigungsvorrichtung (Öse (2)) am Trapezdraht (1) befestigt ist und daß das Trapezseil (5) vom Gummizug (16) nach oben zur Umlenkrolle (4) und von dort nach unten durch die Klemmbacken (7) der Klemmvorrichtung (7,14) geführt ist und am freien unteren Ende den Trapezring (9) aufweist.

    • A positionable jam cleat for use on a wind propelled vehicle, e.g. a surfboard, comprising a positioning sleeve (12) naving an expandable circumference, slidably mounted on a respective one of the booms (30,31) and a cleat sleeve (18) having an inner diameter of a size such that when brought in contact with the outer surface of the positioning sleeve (12), the cleat sleeve (18) will compress the positioning sleeve (12), thereby increasing the frictional engagement of the boom (30,34) by the positioning sleeve (12), and with the cleat sleeve (18) having a jam cleat (20) formed on the outer surface thereof. The positioning sleeve (12) has an open seam (16) extending the length thereof and an inner diameter sufficiently smaller than the outer diameter of the boom (30,31).
      A lip (14) on the positoning sleeve (12) prevents the cleat sleeve (18) from being drawn over the line-receiving end of the positioning sleeve (12). The jam cleat (20) is formed by a pair of upstanding channel sides (21) on the outer surface of the cleat sleeve (18) and has a row of teeth (22) on the inward facings of the channel sides (21) and a bridge (26) joining the upper edges of the channel sides (21) atthe line-receiving end thereof.

    • A rope lock intended for preventing a rope (13) inserted therein from being moved in a certain direction therethrough by a pulling force in the rope. The lock is primarily intended for use as a sheet lock or a winch unloading lock on sailing boats. The lock has an abutment (4), an operating member (6) arranged pivotable about a first pin (17) in relation to the abutment and a locking member (10) arranged pivotable about a second pin (11) relative to the abutment. The locking member has a thrust portion (12) which forces the rope towards the abutment with a thrusting force in the active position, but not in the inactive position. The locking member also has a contact portion (14) for generating at least a portion of this thrust force. The lock is taken between active position and inactive position by pivoting the operating member. Said member has an operating portion (9) which is eccentric relative to the first pin, and which is adapted for providing a torque about the second pin, at least in the active position, such thatthe tope is held between the abutment and the thrust portion.
