摘要： Electromechanical systems using magnetic fields to induce eddy currents and generate lift are described. Magnet configurations which can be employed in the systems are illustrated. The magnet configuration can be used to generate lift and/or thrust. Lift and thrust predictions for various magnet configurations are provided. Arrangements of hover engines, which can employ the magnet configurations, and an associated guidance, navigation and control system, are described. Finally, a number of different applications, such as trains, elevators and printing, which utilize embodiments of the electromechanical systems described herein, are presented.

摘要： A standing wheelchair device includes a wheeled base for enabling the device to move on a supporting surface. A harness assembly includes a plurality of braces for attaching to parts of a body of a user of the device, at least some adjacent braces of being connected by joints. A lifting unit mounted on the base, supports a hip joint of the harness assembly, and is configured to raise or lower the hip joint. When the user is attached to the harness assembly and is in a sitting position, raising a height of the hip joint causes the user to assume a standing position. When the when the user is attached to the harness assembly and is in a standing position, lowering the hip joint causes the user to assume a sitting or reclining position.

A vehicle in accordance with an aspect of the present invention is a vehicle that moves by inverted pendulum control, including a rider seat 11, a chassis 12, a right driving wheel 18, a left driving wheel 20, motors 34 and 36 to rotationally drive the right driving wheel 18 and the left driving wheel 20, a forward bar 14 protruding forward beyond the chassis 12, a motor 42 to rotational drive the forward bar 14, a footstep 17 attached to the forward bar 14, and a control box 32 to control the motor 42. The feet of a rider 80 are put on the footstep 17. The control box 32 changes the vehicle to an inverted state by raising the footstep 17 so that the footstep 17 moves away from a ground, or changes the vehicle to a stable state by lowering the footstep 17 so that the footstep 17 comes into contact with the ground.
