    • PURPOSE: A brake system of a caster is provided to simplify the constitution and surely damp moving and rotation, without putting in great strength into operation of a brake. CONSTITUTION: A caster(10) comprises a flange(100), a body(200), brackets(300), and a wheel(400). A brake system of the caster comprises a first brake device having a pad installed on the outer peripheral surface of the wheel; a second brake device(600) forming a first uneven part at the bottom of a rotor installed to the body and having a second uneven part engaged with the first uneven part; and an operating device(700) having a first pedal(710) rotatably installed to the bracket by a first hinge shaft, to operate the brake devices. The first brake device controls rotation of the wheel and prevents moving by closely fastening the pad to the outer peripheral surface of the wheel. The second brake device prevents in situ-rotation by making a fixture(610) to control rotation of the body operated by a lever(630). The operating device is connected with a second pedal(720) contacting with the top of the pad by a second hinge shaft. The rotation and moving of the caster are simultaneously controlled by operation of just the first pedal.
