    • Foam carrying a decontaminating/oxidizing agent is produced by introducing air under pressure into a pair of tanks (10, 11) carrying a foam forming solution and a solution of the agent. The tanks (10, 11) are connected to an air passage (2) through a manifold (1) for introducing the foam solution and then the agent solution into the air passage (2) to produce foam bubbles coated with agent for discharge under pressure through a hose (19) connected to said air passage (2). Alternatively, the two solutions are mixed in a single tank (22) connected to a source of air (23) under pressure, and the resulting mixture is discharged through a hose (37) and a foam-forming nozzle (40) at the discharge end of the hose (37).

    • The invention relates to an additive nebulising device, further devices and a method for the nebulisation of a fluid additive, in particular, a lubricant, in a gaseous pressurised medium, in particular, compressed air, flowing through a pressure medium supply line (10). The additive is pumped from an inlet (26), of an additive supply line (24), for feeding from an additive supply device (27, 28), to an outlet (25), which opens out into the pressure medium supply line (10). A monitoring device (17, 18) determines at least one physical parameter, in the pressure medium supply line (10) and transmits the above to a control device, by means of a relaying device (19, 20). The control device (21), controls a pressure generating device (43, 47), as a function of the at least one physical parameter, as measured by the monitoring device (17, 18), by means of a control connection (23). The pressure generating device (43, 47) subjects the additive, in the at least one additive supply line (24), to pressure impulses such that additive droplets are forced out of the outlet (25).

    • Apparatus suitable for atomizing and vaporizing at least a first liquid by colliding at least one gas with the first liquid. The apparatus includes a gas inlet (14) through which the gas enters the apparatus and a first liquid inlet (12) through which the first liquid enters the apparatus. A discharge end of the apparatus includes at least one first liquid discharge outlet through which at least one stream of the first liquid is discharged from the apparatus. The discharge end also includes at least one gas discharge outlet through which at least one stream of gas is discharged from the apparatus to collide with and thereby atomize the discharged stream of the first liquid. A first liquid passageway (34) interconnects the first liquid inlet with the first liquid discharge outlet. A gas passageway interconnects the gas inlet with the at least one gas discharge outlet. In one embodiment, the gas passageway comprises at least one gas chamber (50) in thermal contact with an initial portion of the first liquid passageway such that a heated quantity of the gas in the chamber preheats the first liquid in the initial portion of the first liquid passageway. In alternative embodiments, the gas passageway includes a pressure dampening chamber allowing gas to be continuously discharged without pulsating.

    • A multiple nozzle coating apparatus (10) and method which simultaneously propels a plurality of coating compositions in substantially overlapping coating patterns. The coating compositions are formulated with a viscosity and rheology control agent to have sufficient wet strength to stand alone and not flow or readily mix with itself when applied under non-atomizing conditions. A separate nozzle (42) is provided for each of the viscous coating compositions configured to create overlapping coverage over the area coated. The separate coating nozzles (42) are inclined toward a substantially overlapping coating pattern. The coating compositions (24, 25, 27) and compressed air (28) are delivered to the separate nozzles (42). Ajustable valves are provided for releasing coating compositions (24, 25, 27) and the compressed air (28) from each of nozzles (42) to simultaneously propel coating compositions (24, 25, 27) away from each of the nozzles (42) to form a coat pattern wherein the coating compositions remaining substantially separate after being propelled.
