摘要： A utensil (10, 200) having a first portion (26, 202) and a handle (30, 210). The first portion includes a utensil portion (12, 204), which can be spoon shaped, fork shaped, knife shaped or other food implement shaped and a shank (14, 206) attached at one end to the utensil portion. The handle is removably attached to another end of the shank. A spring loaded clamp (44) is provided with the handle to coact with the shank so as to engage the shank with the handle. The utensil is particularly well adapted to be used with buffets, whereby first portions of utensils are provided with buffet dishes (60) and handles are provided for the customers of the buffet. A clip (80) can be provided for attaching to a buffet dish and holding the utensil first portion.

摘要： A pot comprises a cooking vessel with handle. The vessel has an upper edge at the top of its side wall and a pouring spout formed therein. A lid is provided, having a downwardly extending flange extending inwardly and downwardly therearound for snuggly fitting the lid within the side wall of the vessel. It is provided with a handle. The flange has a strainer section. When the strainer is aligned with the pouring spout, the liquid contents of the pot can be poured while the solid contents remain. The flange extends into the pot a sufficient depth so that the pot and lid can be tilted for pouring and, yet, the lid held on the pot. The pot's handle comprises a preferably concave top surface to hold a standard-sized handle of a cooking spoon. The lid is provided with a central recess for a spoon head to sit thereon.

While cooking, the utensils protrusions allow it to be rested on a pot or pan in order to prevent sauces and oils from dripping on stovetops, spoon rests, or other unwanted surfaces. Also since the utensil is held on the pot, bacteria and viruses cannot contaminate the utensil or food as easily. This invention also lends itself towards being quickly and easily placed and removed from its resting spot on the container, as well as minimizing workspace clutter by aligning its own handle with the handle of the container. This invention also has the means to be secure in its resting spot, which prevents it from falling into or to the side of the cooking container. Furthermore the invention can be easily manufactured by making small changes to the mold cavities and/or metal stamps currently used for utensil production.
