摘要： In a magnetic bearing apparatus provided at least with a touchdown bearing and a corrugated plate-like damper member inserted into an annular gap between the touchdown bearing and its retainer member, to keep on holding the corrugated plate-like damper member in a predetermined position without fail. A cylindrical retainer member 9 is a thrust bearing retainer member and also a touchdown bearing retainer member. A touchdown bearing 4, i.e., a pair of roller bearings 4a and 4b disposed in upper and lower stages are received in an inner circumferential portion of the cylindrical retainer member 9. An annular gap G is formed between the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical retainer member 9 and outer races of the pair of roller bearings 4a and 4b. A pair of corrugated strip steel plates 8a and 8b that are the corrugated plate-like damper members are inserted into this annular gap G. Also, a strip-like metal thin plate 10a is inserted while being clamped between the upper corrugated strip steel plate 8a and the lower corrugated strip steel plate 8b. Thus, the strip-like metal thin plate 10a functions as a positional offset preventing means of the pair of corrugated strip steel plates 8a and 8b.

摘要： A screw groove-type pump has a rotor member mounted for undergoing rotation, a stator member arranged so as to be coaxial with the rotor member and having a peripheral wall disposed opposite to and spaced-apart from a circumferential wall of the rotor member, an inlet port for introducing gas into a space between the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member, and an outlet port for discharging gas introduced into the space between the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member. A screw groove is formed on one of the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member for transferring gas introduced into the inlet port through the space between the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member and to the outlet port during rotation of the rotor member. The depth of the screw groove at a point thereof which is nearest the inlet port is equal to or larger than ¼ the diameter of one of the circumferential wall of the rotor member and the peripheral wall of the stator member. An angle of elevation of the screw groove with respect to a radial axis of the rotor member decreases toward the outlet port from the inlet port.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a sheet container accommodating a recording medium therein, a sheet separating feeder including a sheet feeding body and a sheet separating body, an image forming part, and a bend applier. The sheet feeding body feeds the recording medium along with a surface movement thereof while the recording medium contacting the surface thereof. The sheet separating body forms a sheet separation nip region with the sheet feeding body and sandwiches the recording medium in the sheet separation nip region. The sheet separating feeder separates and feeds the recording medium contacting the sheet feeding body. The image forming part forms an image on the recording medium. The bend applier having a leading end of an elastic material contacts and bends the recording medium before the sheet separation nip region and generates a wrinkle extending on the recording medium in a sheet conveying direction.

Further, a method of removing discharge products includes counting the number of sheets fed from a sheet container, determining that the number of sheets reaches a predetermined threshold value, confirming that a current time falls within a predetermined period of time or receiving a turn off signal to turn off a power supply, removing the discharge products from a surface of an attraction body, and resetting the number of sheets or further turning off the power supply.
