摘要： Provided are an operation assisting apparatus and a method thereof which accurately estimate an intention of a user and present a desired function more preferentially.The operation assisting apparatus estimates a function desired by a user based on a history of user operations for selecting options displayed on a menu screen having a hierarchical structure, and provides an operational assistance based on a result of the estimation. The apparatus includes: an option-function distance storage unit (106) that stores a semantic distance between each of the options displayed on a menu screen and each of functions positioned at an end in the hierarchical structure; an operation history storage unit (107) that stores the operation history of the options sequentially selected by the user; an estimation unit (114) that estimates, based on a semantic distance between a selection option selected by the user and each of the functions, and a semantic distance between an unselected selection option that has been selectable but not selected and each of the functions, a degree of probability that the function is the function desired by the user; and an operational assistance determination unit (110) that determines, based on the result of the estimation, a detail of an output such that functions with higher probability will be presented with higher precedence in selectability.

摘要： A membrane switch can attach an elastically deformable dome to a board in a reliable manner such that the dome is not detached even if a fixing sheet is made thinner and smaller and therefore has a smaller footprint. This switch has: a dome (110) that is formed projecting toward the surface and that is dented opposite toward the back surface by elastic deformation; and a flexible fixing sheet (120) that has a back surface of an adhesive face pasted to the entire face of the surface of the dome (110). The fixing sheet (120) fixes the dome (110) in a predetermined position of a board (4) by means of a stretching part (122) which stretches radially outer to the dome (110), from an outer rim (112) of the dome (110), in a direction virtually orthogonal to a direction in which the dome (110) projects. A plurality of slits (130) formed in the fixing sheet (120) at predetermined intervals along the outer rim (112) of the dome (110), prevent a stretching part (122) of the fixing sheet (120), from joining with a dome covering part (121) which is a portion above the dome (110) that continues in the radial direction of the dome (110).

摘要： A method and apparatus for speech recognition of the present application has a process to collate, with an input utterance, an acoustic model corresponding to a hypothesis to be expressed by the connection of utterance segments, such as phonemes or syllables, and developed according to a length of an input utterance by an inter-word connection rule thereby obtaining a recognition score. Within a word of the hypothesis, the similar hypotheses high in utterance score within a predetermined threshold from the maximum value of the score are all held to a word end irrespectively of the number of hypotheses. Meanwhile, at a word end of the hypotheses, the hypotheses are narrowed to a predetermined number of upper ranking in the order of higher score.
