摘要： Under a multi-task environment, a tamper resistant microprocessor saves a context information for one program whose execution is to be interrupted, where the context information contains information indicating an execution state of that one program and the execution code encryption key of that one program. An execution of that one program can be restarted by recovering the execution state of that one program from the saved context information. The context information can be encrypted by using the public key of the microprocessor, and then decrypted by using the secret key of the microprocessor.

A packet to be transmitted is divided into segments to form a plurality of packet segments. Subsequently, the processed packet segment is transmitted to the network. Packet segments are received from the network. From among a plurality of error correction schemes prepared in advance, the scheme to be employed is selected for each of the received packet segments based on predetermined information contained in each received packet segment, and the selected error correction scheme is applied to the received packet segment. An original packet is formed from the plurality of processed packet segments.

摘要： A developer replenishing device for replenishing a developing device with a developer, and a developer container for use therewith. The developer container, or toner bottle, has a mouth portion at one end thereof which is smaller in diameter than a hollow cylindrical main body. At the end of the bottle provided with the mouth portion, a shoulder has the inner periphery thereof partly raised to the edge of the mouth portion to form a raised portion for scooping up a toner. In addition, a part of the inner periphery of the circumferental wall of the bottle, which is contiguous with the raised portion, is also raised toward the axis of the bottle, about which the bottle is rotatable, thereby forming another raised portion. When the bottle is mounted on a bottle holder, which is included in the replienishing device, substantially horizontally with the mouth portion oriented sideways, the bottle is rotated to raise the toner from the bottom of the main body to the mouth portion. As a result, the toner is discharged to the outside via the mouth portion smoothly.
