摘要： A reflector capable of preventing stain caused from the interference among the beams of light, for reflecting light incident on an LCD module to utilize the light as a light source for display. The reflector includes a plurality of projecting and recessing patterns which are irregularly disposed on the reflector, and each projecting and recessing pattern is disposed corresponding to prescribed polygon shape as a grid, and is repeated in the plane direction of the reflector so that the length of the edge or the distribution of distance between the centers of each projecting and recessing pattern conforms to the Gaussian distribution. The reflector also includes a unit area constituted of the plurality of polygon shapes, so that one edge of the unit area is integral multiple of a unit pixel and substantially 1900 μm or more, and smaller than or equal to the entire screen of the LCD module.

摘要： In a semi-transmission type liquid crystal display device, a source electrode of a TFT in a reflection area of an active matrix substrate is used also as a reflection film, and a transparent electrode film in a transmission area is provided so as to extend onto a surface of a convex-shaped transparent organic film on the TFT, and electrically connected to the source electrode through a contact hole. An opposite electrode of an opposite substrate is made of the same material as the transmission electrode film. Thus, occurrence of flickers due to a residual DC voltage is suppressed.

摘要： An active matrix substrate of a channel protection type having a gate electrode, a drain electrode and a pixel electrode is isolated in each layer by insulating films. The active matrix substrate is to be prepared by four masks. A gate electrode layer, a gate insulating film and an a-Si layer are processed to the same shape on a transparent insulating substrate to form a gate electrode layer and a TFF area. A drain electrode layer is formed by a first passivation film with the first passivation film formed as an upper layer. In a second passivation film, formed above the first passivation film, are bored a first opening through the first and second passivation films and a second opening through the second passivation film. A wiring connection layer is formed by ITO provided as an uppermost layer. A storage capacitance unit, including the first and second passivation films sandwiched between the gate electrode and an electrode layer formed as a co-layer with respect to the gate electrode, is connected to the pixel electrode.
