    • PURPOSE:To manufacture the Al-Si-graphite alloy of which the grains of graphite and metallic Si are uniformly dispersed into an Al alloy matrix by injecting Al alloy molten metal on the surface of a rotatable supporting stand together with heated graphite powder and metallic Si powder and exeucting solidification. CONSTITUTION:Molten Al alloy is injected on the surface of a supporting stand 6 rotating or rocking in an injection chamber 7 from an injection nozzle 2 of an Al alloy melting and injection device 1. At the same time, graphite grains 13 and metallic Si grains 12 heated to a high temp. is injected thereon from an injection device 3 for Si grains and graphite grains. The injected Al alloy grains 11 as well as the metallic Si grains 12 and the graphite grains 13 are piled on the supporting stand 6 and are rapidly solidified, by which, without forming brittle compounds such as Al3C4 by the reaction of the Al alloy with the graphite, the Al-Si-graphite series alloy of which the fine grains of the metallic Si and graphite are uniformly dispersed into the Al alloy matrix and having high strength, high rigidity and a low thermal expansion coefficient as well as having excellent seizure resistance, sliding properties and wear resistance can be manufactured.

    • PURPOSE:To easily obtain a sheet-shaped formed product which has a high density and is uniform by providing porous bodies having communicating vent holes to roll surfaces and roll forming powder to a sheet shape, and simultaneously discharging the binder in the powder through the porous bodies. CONSTITUTION:The porous bodies 3 consisting of a tool steel, etc., are respectively provided over the entire surface of two pieces of the rolling rolls 2 which come into contact with the powder 1. The plural communicating holes 4 extending from the rear surfaces of the respective porous bodies 3 to the axial centers of the rolling rolls 2 are provided. Large-diameter communicating holes 4' which gather the respective holes 4 and guide the same to the outside of the rolls are pierced. The alloy powder 1 mixed with the binder is rolled and molded by using such rolling rolls 2 and is thereby made into the sheet shape. The binder contained in the powder 1 is partly discharged to the outside through the porous bodies 3 and the communicating holes 4, 4' simultaneously with roll forming. The recovered binder is reused. The sheet-shaped formed product which has the high density and is uniform is thereby obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To simply form a green compact having high dimensional accuracy, high density and uniformity at a low cost by packing powder mixing with binder into dies communicated to outside through communicated gas holes by arranging porous bodies on inner surface and compacting with compression. CONSTITUTION:The powder 1 is packed on a lower punch 4 in outer die 2 and an upper punch 3 is descended from upper part and the powder 1 is compacted with compression between both punched 3, 3. In the die for compacting the above powder, the porous bodies 5 having the communicated gas holes 6 are arranged at least at a part, desirably >= about 20% of the inner surface of the die brought into contact with the powder 1 at the time of completing compacting. The porous body 5 is commu nicated with outside air of the die through the communicated holes 6. Further, the binder of wax series, etc. is mixed to the packed powder 1. At the time of compacting this powder with compressing, a part of this binder is exhausted to remove to outside of the dies through the porous bodies 5, By this constitution, the uniform green compact having high dimensional accuracy and high density is obtd. The green compact has a little binder content and after that, deterioration of size accuracy is restrained and de-binder treatment can be executed for a short time.
